    • Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) reintroduced the No Congressional Funds for Sanctuary Cities Act (H.R. 205) to strip federal funding from jurisdictions that limit cooperation with ICE and other immigration authorities.

    • The bill would block sanctuary cities from receiving federal funds, including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), and recover any unspent federal funds given to those cities over the past five years.

    • Van Duyne argues that sanctuary policies undermine national security and public safety, aligning her position with President Donald Trump's immigration enforcement agenda.

    • She criticized Democratic city leaders for rejecting federal assistance and accused them of valuing political optics over addressing rising crime in their cities.

    • Sanctuary cities aim to protect undocumented immigrants by limiting local involvement in immigration enforcement, but Van Duyne views such policies as enabling criminal behavior and obstructing federal law.

Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) has reintroduced legislation that will cut off federal funding to so-called "sanctuary cities," jurisdictions that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

The bill, titled the No Congressional Funds for Sanctuary Cities Act (HR 205), seeks to block such cities from receiving federal funds and would claw back any unspent federal dollars allocated over the past five years. The legislation targets local jurisdictions with policies or ordinances that hinder enforcement by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or shield undocumented immigrants from deportation.

Under the bill, sanctuary cities would be banned from receiving congressionally-appropriated community project funds, including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). It also directs federal agencies to identify unspent funds given to sanctuary jurisdictions over the past five years and recover those allocations.

"Basically, my bill says if you're a sanctuary city, you're not going to get federal dollars, and we're going to claw back unspent federal dollars of the last five years of your sanctuary city," Van Duyne, who represents Texas' 24th congressional district, said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

(Related: Representative Tenney calls for defunding sanctuary cities and sanctuary CAMPUSES at U.S. universities.)

This is not the first time Van Duyne has introduced the bill; it was first brought forward during the 118th Congress. She is now renewing her push as immigration and border security remain hot-button issues ahead of the 2026 midterms.

"Radical sanctuary city policies undermine our national security and endanger citizens across our country," Van Duyne said in January. "I'm introducing this bill to support President Trump's plan to deport criminal illegal aliens by leveraging the power of the purse to pressure local governments to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement."

Van Duyne criticizes Democratic city leaders who reject help from federal authorities

Sanctuary cities in the U.S., as defined by Brighteon.AI'sEnoch, are jurisdictions that adopt policies to limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement agencies, often by refusing to detain individuals solely based on their immigration status or by not allowing local law enforcement to inquire about a person's immigration status. These cities aim to create a more welcoming environment for undocumented immigrants by providing a degree of protection from deportation and fostering trust between immigrant communities and local authorities.

But Van Duyne, a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, echoed the tough-on-crime and anti-sanctuary city rhetoric of his administration.

In line with this, she accused sanctuary cities of prioritizing political posturing over public safety. She also pointed to rising crime rates in several major cities and criticized their leaders for rejecting help from federal authorities, as Trump repeatedly clashed with local officials over the deployment of federal agents.

"I'm shocked that these city mayors don't want that help," she said. "It's amazing how all they want is cash. You know, they come in and out of our offices all the time – asking for money and for appropriations and more CDBG [Community Development Block Grant] funds. Here you have a president who is allowing them to save face, and you still have them in denial."

WARNING: Very graphic video in source links. Viewer discretion advised. Take political action steps at the end of this message.

Illegal aliens, criminal American gangs, Democrats, and their liberal Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, are all vowing to fight against President Trump, against our laws, and against our brave men and women in law enforcement/ICE who are taking on the task of law enforcement in America's murder capital, Chicago!

IL Democrat Governor JB Pritzker just called illegals "Neighbors and Friends" while calling law enforcement and ICE agents "invaders!" (View & Share SOURCE HERE)

The Democrat Party has become the party of invasion, crime, and loss and LAW AND ORDER will be a top issue in the 2026 campaigns as Democrat run sanctuary cities like Durham (Recently declaring sanctuary status in violation of new NC Laws) and Charlotte, NC, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, DC, and others keep ending up in the news due to violent crime fueled by their policies, young black males who commit over half of 20,000 murders in America each year, and illegal alien invaders.

The uncensored, heartbreaking, hard-to-watch, viewer-discretion-advised video of the preventable murder of LEGAL IMMIGRANT Iryna Zarutska in sanctuary city Charlotte is going viral today. (VIEW, SHARE, & COMMENT HERE)

It cannot be unseen, and America will be changed forevermore in the opposite direction our country went in reaction to the fentanyl overdose death of George Floyd and the BLM riots.
