    Theories

I just pulled the long thread about the theories of the New World Order etc...

One of the things we need to stay focused on is what is happening and what will happen and what we plan to do.

Although we would all love to know why the Bush administration and others are doing certain things, it all boils down to theory.

Some theories could cost us credibility or earn us the tin foil hat award from opposition.

We need to respect everyone's different beliefs but at the same time we should try to keep our discussions out of the areas that the mainstream would consider fringe belief systems.

Hell, the real news is strange enough. We have to worry about people not believing what is really happening because of how outlandish the situation is and they did not get it spoon fed to them as fact on the MSM.

Im not saying that this or that is wrong. Im just saying we need to avoid elaborate theories and deal with direct issues at hand.

I am not a big fan of conspiracy theories myself.

My biggest problem in general with the propagation of these theories is that they seem to be generally put forth by people who have already been defeated. There is such a negative vibe associated with them and it creates a sense of helplessness and powerlessness.

The older I get, the more I believe that these conspiracy theories are coping mechanisms for individuals to justify and excuse their inability to get into the game and do anything about the problems we face.

Why stand up and put energy into a cause when the world is conspiring against you and there is no chance of success, right?

To be clear, I am not talking about the thread in question or anyone associated with it, as I did not read it before it was pulled. Just my take.

I don't think there's any need for elaborate theories to explain our immigration situation. It usually boils down to simple self-interests. The corporate and media elites want to flood the country with millions of immigrants because its in their self-interest: an endless source of cheap labor, and millions of new consumers to buy their crappy products. And the political elite largely serve (and are bought and paid for by) the corporate and media elites. I don't think we need to go any deeper than that. (Though its inevitable that a lot of people have their favorite villians and want to work backwards from there.) I don't know if I'm getting too far afield here, but does anybody remember the Rolling Stones' infamous rock concert at Altamount in 1969? The queer thing about it was, a group of a couple hundred unified Hells Angels were able to completely dominate a crowd of a half a million individuals. Thats the quandry we face now, as the vast majority of American citizens are being dominated by this tiny, unified elite. It will be very interesting to see who's will prevails.
