Thread: There Has To Be Alot More Than 11 Million

I live in a small town in the midwest, illegals work in factories here, there are only two factories in the whole county and we have plenty of them here. This is a rural area. There is not a community in this country that does not have illegals living in it. If there were only 11 million then I doubt they would even be in my community.

Bear Stearns Asset Management claims there are as many as 20 million currently here. They also claim there is an influx of up to 3 million each year.

While he didn't really cite any studies (that I know of), Newt Gingrich claimed there are over 30 million here. I've heard others claim numbers as high.

The 11 million number generally comes from the Pew Hispanic Center. If you read their study and examine their research methods, you'll see that they don't even know for sure how many are here. In fact, a large part of their study is based off of the Current Population Survey. But unless I'm mistaken, aren't these the people who "hide in the shadows?" If so, why would they respond to a survey or census?

The Census says there is more. But its hard to distinguish between legal and illegal.
