Thoughts about dealing with posts on illegal immigration.
Mexico has the fifth largest economy in the world and it should be doing a great, great deal better. It is not, and the reason would apparently be two fold:
1. The corruption in Mexico is incredible.
2. The ability to deal with the economy is truly based on wizards and hope. But particularly, the Mexican Economy is not necessarily based on Economic Theory based in the west, but economic theory based on bar room discussions.
Until Mexico faces her problems, we will see Mexico telling her people.. the United States is RICH.. go to the United States and send the money back to Mexico. And they do go, and they will send it back. And the allegiance to Mexico Continues because the United States speaks English and the theory of all Mexicans is, anyone who speaks Spanish is discriminated against.
=================
In my posts in the future..
I will be pointing out the Mexican Government very badly needs to change. As things now stand, the American Tax Payer is supporting the Mexican Economy to the tune of well over 20 billion a year.
I am going to point to the fact that Mexico is the fifth largest economy in the world, and it cannot do well until it gets rid of the corruption.
The fact that Spanish is simple to learn compared to English makes the transition from Mexico to the United States particularly difficult. Spanish Speakers feel they are discriminated against, and that leads to a lot of trouble for both countries.
The solution in the long run, is to encourage Mexico to stop the corruption, and get help on the management of her economy.
In the meantime, put the national guard on the border. We are the end point for a huge amount of street narcotics coming in from Mexico. The solution is not to open the border and allow those who want the dope to get the stuff.. it is to control our borders and encourage those who want the stuff to go where the dope is. Oooh.. I LIKE that!
Mr. Bush is changing his tune.. he is suggesting this is a land of small businesses and and if they need those workers from Mexico they should have them. IF small business is the backbone of the United States, then employment in those small businesses has to be the backbone of employment in the United States. And while we all know most Americans who choose well can make it in this society, the complexity of this society is horrific and people choose using their best tools to choose, and they don't make it. BUT THEY CAN MAKE IT IF THEY USE ILLEGAL ALIENS AND PAY LOW WAGES.
I am confronted with two thoughts here: some employers will use illegal aliens no matter what. If the business is wildly mismanaged, or should not even be there, using illegal aliens is a requirement to keep the business going. Neither one is acceptable. I do not support small business using illegal aliens.
No matter.. it needs to stop.

Small business has many faces! The definition of a Small Business in the United States as defined by the US Small Business Administration is a net worth of $6,000,000 or under. Many "small businesses" manage themselves through LLC and LP structures using common ownership but separate corporate identity relationships to run divisions that are separate but owned by the same people and share common Trade Names. Nothing wrong with this. But, do not be deceived by Who these small businesses really are Bushey Boy is barking for.
As a true small business....BELIEVE ME.....illegals are a small business person's worst nightmare and offer absolutely NO JOB CREATION ADVANTAGE OR PROSPERITY BUILDING for the American People or small business. What goes around comes around. If Americans are not employed at American wages dictated by our SYSTEM, small business goes out of business due to lack of "revenue"....thus their little "labor cost savings" did nothing for them but destroy their revenue base and put them out of business.
It's what we call "circular". AND lyin' ass Bushey Boy KNOWS THAT!!
WE WANT our GM JOBS. WE WANT our FORD JOBS. Those are the jobs that for every one created in their manufacturing plants, create 4 to 6 in other plants, offices and stores. It is their payscale and their level of component and parts that drive our economy.
You want to buy a cheap T-Shirt sewn by illegal workers consisting of imported material and threads...in a "small business" in California like American Apparel, then Greet Your Future...Say, Hello......Mudslide!! Lets Ride to a Third World Hemisphere Together!! Not I. Hopefuly not You. STOP IT NOW!!!
TROOPS ON THE BORDERS NOW!!
TROOPS HOME FROM IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN NOW!!
GET BUSH OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE... NOW!!
PROSECUTE HIS ASS FOR EXECUTIVE TREASON.... NOW!!
I'm a 4th Generation Republican and have earned the right to make these demands and shout them to the WORLD!!
This man is not of US. He is a Mutant. A Sicko-Wacko Traitor Beyond Belief.
GET HIM OUT NOW!!!!

I am a third generation Republican, and as the Governor of New Jersey said... THIS Republican Party is NOT MY Republican Party. And I agree.
She is, by the way, a very nifty lady. At some point, I am hoping she takes top office in the Republican Party. I want Tancredo as the Presidential Canidate for the Republican Party, but I want to see that lady in the spot if Mr. Tancredo has made to many enemies.
Mr. Bush has raised more money for the Republican Party than any single member ever has... apparently. Strong rumor has it as it happens. In any case, he raised his money from business, and that includes a huge number of small businesses. But it is a fact of life that small businesses use them as well as large businesses. And it is interesting to note, two of the worst offendors I know if are owned and run by foreign investors. The meat packing industry in the Mid West, and the vegetable creation business along the border.
I gotta go work Judy.. I move in four days now and there is STILL a pile of stuff to throw or pack. See ya..

Shaw, sorry about you having to move, what a pain!
I've been pointing out for about a year that Mexico is a rich country, simply siphoning off our wealth to increase theirs. Unfortunately Bush loves the idea.
From an old Lou Dobbs, where Bear Stearns was talking about the 20 million illegals in the country.
"Mexico has more "Forbes" billionaires, 11, than all but eight other nations. It has more billionaires than Saudi Arabia, Switzerland or Taiwan. It also has more than 85,000 millionaires. "Want to make people angry? Lie to them.
Want to make them absolutely livid? Tell 'em the truth."

The reason illegals get so much sympathy is that there seems to be an American belief that Mexico is too poor to take care of its citizens...and Mexicans have no choice but to come to the US.
La Raza, etc., use this belief to its advantage. Have you noticed that you hear very little discussion about fixing Mexico?
That's what needs to happen...change the discussion to MEXICAN RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX MEXICO. There's plenty of wealth there to get the job done.
And I agree that Mexico's problem is corruption. And how many of you are aware of the latifundo system (sp?).

Steve: Yes, I agree. Mexicans readily admit that their country is rife with corruption from the very lowest level cop to the highest offices.
I've met illegal Mexican aliens who have told me stories of police corruption. Mexican cops often work under the orders of drug lords (who have extensive networks of brutal thugs). One man told me that in Mexico people with power and influence can kill and stand little chance of conviction. It has been this way for generations and is only getting worse. Vicente Fox and his minions has really done nothing except window dressing to address corruption in Mexico.
The cultural attitude of many Mexican illegals is that being a scofflaw is natural. Thus, it is no big deal to go without auto insurance, pay fines, and do illicit things. When a major crime is committed... why simply skip over the border to safety.
