Supreme Court Ruling Signals Time to Revisit Prop. 187!

In a huge victory for the rule of law, good old-fashioned common sense, and American citizens, the Supreme Court sided with Arizona in its effort to prevent and reverse illegal invasions from south of our borders.

As reported in the media, the Supreme Court upheld an Arizona law that penalizes businesses for hiring workers in the country illegally, buoying the hopes of supporters of state crackdowns on illegal immigration.

This ruling should serve as a wake-up call to revive Proposition 187, a measure passed by California voters by a 2-1 margin in 1994 to restrict payment of state benefits to illegal aliens.

Unfortunately, Prop. 187 was overturned by liberal judges and Democrat politicians. Now seventeen years later, California is inundated with millions of illegal aliens whom cost the state $10 billion a year.

Further, about 30 percent of California inmates are illegals, a fact worth remembering as the state struggles to comply with an order to free thousands from the state’s overcrowded prisons.

Perhaps California will now be allowed to do what is in the best interests of American citizens, rather than being bullied by the ACLU and liberal Democrats, folks who care not one whit about American sovereignty, language, and culture, or the future of California?

“PHOENIX – The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld an Arizona law that penalizes businesses for hiring workers in the country illegally, buoying the hopes of supporters of state crackdowns on illegal immigration.

They predicted the ruling would lead to many other states passing laws that require employers to use the federal E-Verify system to check that workers aren't illegal immigrants. And some said the ruling bodes well for the prospects of a much broader and more controversial immigration law in Arizona, known as SB1070, to be found constitutional.â€
