It seems to me, that for the last 10 years they were saying we had 11 million illegal immigrants. Then they would go on and say that we had a rate of gaining another 1 million each year. WELL, ANOTHER 10 YEARS OF THE SAME MESSAGE HAS GONE OUT. WOULDNT THAT MAKE IT AT LEAST 21 MILLION ILLEGALS AND COUNTING???
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

I agree, I'm sick of seeing the "11 million" quoted in articles. Sadly, I've seen even smaller numbers reported. That total needs updated badly...

I thought I was the only one getting sick of the 11,000 number.

There were eleven million in the year 2,000. Or an "estimated" eleven million. Add about three million a year since then and you have a more accurate "guestimate."

    And consider this:
Within less than one week, nearly 300 illegal aliens have been found holed up in El paso, TX hotels, awaiting the next leg of their journey into the middle of our country. The way I figure it, if they caught 300, there were another 900 in other hotels that they DIDN'T catch and who did go on with their journey. This is ONE city. How many were holed up in the other border towns? Scary, isn't it?

Didn't the Border Patrol report that they catch 1 out of 4 and they caught about 1,000,000 in 2004. Duhhhh!

Darlene, that is what I mean. If they caught one, there are three more who are still at large. And that is NEW ones. That isn't even including those who came upteen years ago and didn't get caught yet.

I have some real doubt that our PB catches 1 in every 3. There is to much desert and to few BP's. I would venture a guess of 1 in 10.

Charles, I figure you are closer to right.

We don't have enough Border Patrol agents. The ones hired recently are still training and they don't train where there are likely to be illegals. I often see them congregated near a state park in the mountains near my house. On top of that, their vehicles are old, their supplies are meager, and there thanks is non-existent.
