WASHINGTON -- Former U.S. Rep. Rob Portman is headed to the Senate after winning an open seat in Ohio that had been held by fellow Republican George Voinovich.
Portman defeated the state's lieutenant governor, Lee Fisher.
There's a tighter contest in Ohio for governor, with Republican John Kasich (KAY'-sihk) and Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland battling for victory in a race that could have implications for the 2012 presidential contest. The new governor will help lead redistricting in the battleground state.
The only Senate seat to switch from Democratic to Republican control so far is the Indiana seat that was captured by Republican Dan Coats.Ron Paul in 2011 "[...]no amnesty should be granted. Maybe a 'green card' with an asterisk should be issued[...]a much better option than deportation."

it seems they are using exit polls though. its not your fault that you are reporting what you hear on TV or on the radio
