Trading Benghazi and IRS for Amnesty, House Leaders Suddenly, Oddly Responsive

Trading Benghazi and IRS for Amnesty, House Leaders Suddenly, Oddly Responsive

Posted on 3 May, 2014 by Rick Wells

John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte have all been fixtures on the television recently, demanding action on Benghazi. Until this week, John Boehner resisted acting as did Eric Cantor, for reasons unknown. Apparently, the new email revelation was enough to persuade the House leadership to get off of the dime. Or was it?
These three pro-amnesty Senators, joined at the hip on virtually every issue, can now point to a victory of sorts. They can at least present themselves as “fighting for the rights of the American people.” True or not, they can now make the claim, which in politics is often good enough.
Two of these three senators comprise half of the RINO membership in the gang of eight which crafted the middle-class destroying amnesty bill in the Senate.
CNS News reported that on Tuesday, John Boehner affirmed he was still trying to “see if there’s a way forward” for amnesty in the House. Boehner said, “Listen, we continue to work with our members, we all know we have a broken immigration system.”
Of course it’s only broken to the degree that it is not enforced, but you won’t hear that truth coming out of these politician’s mouths.
CNS also reports that on Wednesday, Ayotte reiterated in an interview her support for amnesty, asserting “I think it’s important for the country and our economy.” She was among those with an (R) after her name to have voted for it in the Senate
The timing is peculiar, and only time will tell if there is more here than meets the eye, but, as FDR said, “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”
This change in position comes on the heels of the Amelia Island retreat, in which pushing amnesty down the throats of the American people was a major topic of discussion and planning.
Get ready for the PR push. Expect the five amigos to be on television talking about Benghazi and the IRS, and to have to commentary include amnesty. We can expect the same of Boehner, Cantor and their accomplices. The pro-amnesty sellouts have set a target of this summer to get amnesty pushed through. Obama and Democrats have the same timetable.
Boehner and Cantor each gave an announcement, Boehner on Benghazi and Cantor on the IRS, which places them in a favorable light on those issues with conservative Americans. What do they expect in return?
Is it possible that the five amigos will try to distract and disarm conservative Americans with apparent victories over the Democrats in order to set the stage for concessions on amnesty?
It might sound far-fetched, but it is absolutely possible. Whether intended or incidental, we can expect the “goodwill” created by the House leadership finally doing what they should have done months ago, on both issues, to be translated into political capital, which they will attempt to spend passing amnesty.
It’s all just too convenient, the timing just worked out too well.

Concerning the Heritage Foundation's picture below: There are many connections like this between liberal activists, politicians and the "news" media. We should be publicizing all of them. A good source is David Horowitz's blog "Discover the Networks."

I amaze myself; this is probably the first post I have made that is short.

Well not to get carried away with this shortness thing:
American jobs for Americans. Illegal aliens -- go home, and take your pal Obama with you. My ancestors did not sneak across the border. My ancestors were never illegal alien squatters.
