Thread: Sur 13 defaces cemetries, churces -my town...

Great to read this in my local paper... I did some internet searching -I did not see if they were related to that MS 13 (?), but who knows. Why can't my town cut a break? Something will happen. I posted in another topic that in our daily comment page in newspaper there are now almost daily bits against illegal immigration.

New gang raises concern

Waukegan - Alderman Sam Cunningham, 1st Ward, has seen a growing trend on the south side that he said he wants quashed soon.

At the Aug. 7 city council meeting, he said graffiti promoting, "Sur 13," a gang that is new to the area, was getting worse and more intrusive.

"Really, what was more disturbing was to see that [gang members] have defaced cemeteries, churches, places children go to play in," he said.

Police Chief William Biang said his department had stepped up efforts to get members of Sur 13, along with other gangs, off the streets.

He said Sur 13 was a "fast growing group of gang members, mostly young Latinos."

"It's a gang that started in California and Mexico and one that has caused us the most problems in the very recent past," Biang said. "We're working toward getting [the graffiti] removed, the faster the better. The gang unit and the whole department has been advised and ordered to make this a priority of the entire department."

Biang said the department was working with the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to investigate gang activity.

If the gang members are illegal immigrants, he said, police are working to have them deported after they are arrested.

Biang also told the city council that police had recently arrested a gang member who was wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a Russian assault rifle with 300 rounds of ammunition. The suspect, whose name was not available as of press time, is currently in Lake County Jail and will likely face federal charges, Biang said.

The police chief also pointed out that, of the 10 largest cities in Illinois, Waukegan had the lowest crime rate, which he attributed in part to the department's proactive stance against gang activity.

With kids going back to school later this month, Alderman Greg Moisio, 3rd Ward, added that another way to curtail gang activity would be through after school athletic programs, which currently are not available at the elementary and middle school levels.

Sur 13 and MS 13 are two different groups.

SUR 13 or Sureno 13 is more Mexican. MS-13 or Mara Salvatrucha 13 is made up of mostly illegal aliens from El Salvador.

Both gangs are made up mostly of illegal aliens and both gangs are responsible for most of the drug and human importation under a group called The Gulf Cartel.

You need to warn you local lawmakers and police about this gang. They are paramilitary and will eat your people alive if you do not handle this correctly.

Do you notice they attack the FOUNDATIONAL ELEMENTS of society, to make people feel uncomfortable. Schoolyards, Churches, Cemetaries... This is a Psyc-ops tactic. Probably learned from Government, thiers or OURS, not sure. I am sorry. This COULD end if we had the Demoncrats half on our side, Its still not a major issue with them....

I'm SICK of lawbreaking lowlifes coming into our country and trashing it LIKE THEY DID IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES...It seems it's the same worldwide with when it comes to Americans. OUR GOVT ties the hands of the lawenforcers and allows the criminal element to have free reign.

What the hell is wrong with them. ARE THEY AFRAID? I hear that the boys in Iraq, etc. can't really fight without checking with JAG attorneys to make sure they're not breaking some dumbass law imposed upon them only. And it's obvious as hell that the police and law enforcement in this country gives a pass to law breakers.

I think, at this point, all the gov't does is siphon money from us AND NOTHING MORE. Katrina proved that point; so did 911. They were clueless in both cases, heaven help us next time we get hit. Not if; when.

Where does that leave you and I? I think it sets us up to be fair game, in other words, easy targets.

Frightening isn't it? This was posted on our town site last night. Maybe news of this gang has been kept from the news -well it's out now...

This gang is very bad news and they are not just a Waukegan problem.
I have talked about them before. They were involved in a serious incident a year ago last Valentine's Day when a 17 year old WHS student was brutally beaten at 7:00 p.m. inside Gurnee Mills [large popular shopping mall]. (a case of mistaken identity) The gang mebmbers had entered the mall, split into pairs and roamed the mall with hoodies up and bandanas covering their faces, They were asked by mall secutity to leave and did not, but were watched on the mall surveilence cameras. In the end, there were 4 or 5 taken into custody and charged with a class 4 felony. They were not teenagers, but were in there mid 20's and from Round Lake and Park City. They did have a 15 year old from Wkgn. with them, but he did not take part in the beating. Those who did pulled metal pipes out of their hoodie pockets - one used a tire iron. They are bold and they are bad - now they are apparently here in increasing numbers. Call the police if you see them.

This is frightning.
