Is there anything to be said about "culture"
OK, this is a "sensitive" subject.
I'm not one to believe that all cultures are equal - I think some are better than others - depending on their values such as education, hard work, compassion, generosity, etc. You know - like ours?
I don't know much about the Mexican culture - and as we know, that's where most of the illegals come from, like it or not - if they were Germans, we'd still be accused of being racist - they just HAPPEN to be Mexicans for the most part, being that they're next door and have no jobs in their own country.
Now, at the risk of being un-politically correct - is the Mexican culture as good as ours? Do they have the same values? I hear that they are very family-oriented, they're hard-working, etc. etc. But, there are a lot of things I see that I don't like, such as having too many children to support (one of the biggest problems with letting them in, since they account for most of our population growth), being very loud in public, thinking they are entitled to benefits from us, the American citizens, not wanting to learn our common language, not respecting their host country.
So, is there something to be said that in fact, we don't want these people here because we don't like their way of life? I believe that's true, and why would we be ashamed to say so? Why be ashamed to say I don't like people who take advantage of us, or I don't like people who have children they can't support themselves?
In the "old days", that would not be a problem. Now, with all the PC awareness (where did that exactly come from?), no one would EVER admit to such things.

SAL
if you look up, you'll notice that your title has been changed.
** mexican is not a race = it's a nationality comprised of several races.
ILLEGAL Aliens come in all sizes, shapes, colors, cultures and religions.
Those of us fighting this SHAM also come in all sizes, shapes, colors, cultures and religions.
your discussion is about CULTURE.
We all need to be more careful when having such a discussion so that our information is more accurate.
Our enemies have nothing in their ammunition box other than the title "racist" and we surely don't want to unknowingly give them that opportunity.
Suggestion: we know that the greatest percentage of ILLEGAL ALIENS in our country come from mexico. It would be beneficial to the discussion to place a verifying piece of info here so that anyone who wants to argue that fact has no leg to stand on.
Hope this helps

Their culture is certainly not equal to ours. Before I begin, I want to state that I am not stereotyping all hispanics in this category.
Many illegal aliens seem to think it's okay to have sex w/ minors, particularly in the 12-13 year old range.
Many of are not courteous, nor do they have respect for another one's property.
Next, how can a group of people claim they have family values when they leave their family in their home country, intentionally break the laws of another country? To me there are no ethos there from the illegals side.
Now I do understand that not all are this way, but NO ONE should ever be allowed to break the law then use the excuse "I'm only here to work for my family."
How many poor American families or the homeless would get away with robbing a bank using the excuse "We needed to feed our family."
The answer? NOT ONE!
The mexican elites believe in the two class society, their rich class, and everybody else who they believe is only alive to support THEIR needs and further contribute to their greed.
Corruption runs so deep in mexico and central and south american countries, it's by far worse than here in the US."Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results is the definition of insanity. " Albert Einstein.

(I did put in "culture" at the end, but it got cut off). Anyway, sorry to offend anyone. I thought there was an hispanic "race" - like the group LaRaza - doesn't that mean "the race"?
I was just trying to say that we talk about wanting to maintain our culture and that this invasion is changing it, and maybe it's not to our liking. And, isn't that OK? Don't we all want our own culture in which to live? Many say America has no real culture, but I don't agree with that. I guess I'm speaking of the assimilation issue.
Sorry for any offense.

Not just one culture, perhaps.
I knew a girl from Mexico city who was, for all intents and purposes, racially Caucasian. In some ways, she was more European than Americans. Being fairly wealthy, her family had servants.
But those are not the people we are getting via illegal immigration who are the bottom-of-the-barrel failures who seem to be from the Paleolithic era. Mexico is happy to be rid of them. It would be like us dumping our prison population on some other country.

The legal age of Sexual Consent in the USA is 16 years of age. In some states it is 17 or 18.
In Mexico & Panama, the legal age of Sexual Consent is 12 which is some of the lowest ages in the world for legal sexual consent.
In Brazil and Honduras is is 14
Chile and China it is 14.
One big exception is that the legal age of sexual consent in Guatemala and Haiti it is 18 but large sections of these countries are under gang rule and have no effective law enforcement. Rape and gang rape are so common they are rarely reported to authorities if any authorities other than the drug and human importing gangs exist.
The murder rates in these countries are sky high compared to the US.
Columbia 0.617847 per 1,000 people 14 times or 1,400% higher than US
South Africa: 0.496008 per 1,000 people 11.6 times or 1,160% higher
Jamaica: 0.324196 per 1,000 people 7.6 times or 760% higher
Venezuela: 0.316138 per 1,000 people 7.4 times or 740%
Russia: 0.201534 per 1,000 people 4.7 times or 470% higher than US
Mexico: 0.130213 per 1,000 people 3 times or 300% higher than US
United States: 0.042802 per 1,000 people
Of course the US per capita murder rate would be much lower if 1 out 10 Mexicans, the majority of which are here illegally, were not in the US.
The illegal aliens are predominantly young males which have the highest risk factors for engaging in crime.
Since the illegal aliens have shown a disregard for our laws and a pattern of illegality, their crime culture would give them very high probabilities of crimes across the board.
I personally estimate that if we had accurate data on this issue, you would find that illegal aliens have a crime propensity that is 5 to 10 times the national average in the US if they were removed from the US averages.

LaRaza does mean the Race. It is a racial hate group.

So, LaRaza, and such groups, are given money by corporations and our government, but apparently, they do not represent most hispanics??
They would have you believe that they are the voice for "their people".
