Donald Trump's favorability ratings have jumped nine points since he won the presidency, a poll released Monday showed.

Nearly half (46%) of respondents in the latest Morning Consult / Politico poll said they held a "very" or "somewhat" favorable view of the President-elect, while another 46% said they held a "very" or "somewhat" unfavorable view of him.

The poll was taken Nov. 16-18 among 1,885 registered voters.

The new favorability rating marks a nine-point increase from the group's last poll — taken right before the election.

That poll showed Trump with a 37% favorability rating, with a whopping 61% saying they held an unfavorable view of the mogul.

"Trump's favorability among voters has reached new highs since he became President-elect," Morning Consult cofounder and Chief Research Officer Kyle Dropp said in a statement. "This honeymoon phase in common for new presidents. For example, Obama saw about a 20 point swing in his favor following the 2008 election."
