Trump has continuously stated that his 1st action concerning illegals will be to remove them from the country. He is dedicated to build a big beautiful wall. He has vowed to uphold and enforce our existing laws.

Reagan's 1986 move gave true amnesty. Illegals that were here got to stay here and become citizens. They were granted a full pardon.

Forcing illegals to leave and then apply from their home country to re-enter the U.S. is not a pardon. It is not amnesty. It is a path. A path that is part of our current legal system.

Let's not ignore the details of what Trump has supported and is supporting. Trump has supported amnesty in the past. One such instance is evidenced above. He has also proposed a couple of amnesty programs this year. One being a merits system which would allow non-criminal (whatever that is) illegals to remain. The other being an expedited return program that allows deported illegals an expedited path back, ignoring written immigration law by allowing the so-called "good ones" an expedited path to return. Allowing this ignores the 10 year application law regarding the return of deported illegals. It also moves them ahead of folks who have been legally attempting to immigrate here for years. Each of these programs are amnesty because they ignore current law and benefit illegals with a special path that they aren't entitled to by law.

Trump's expedited return path to re-entry sounds extremely similar to the touchback program that was being pushed in 2007. Amnesty supporters were pushing for the touchback because they thought it would be an acceptable compromise. However, anti-amnesty advocates saw the program for what it was, amnesty, and stopped its passage.

Like Trump says, the people are smart, they "get it".

    And yes, we do.

    STAY TRUE!! STAY TRUMP!!

Trump is going to deport all illegal aliens within 2 years with families intact as "single units", no child left behind and he's going to do it with "deportation forces" and "good management", because that is already existing law. Anything that happens after that regarding these people will be a political process involving politicians in Congress.
