Trump: Bob Corker gave us the Iran deal and 'that's about it'

President Trump slammed Republican Sen. Bob Corker as someone who "gave us the Iran Deal" as he opened up another salvo in the pair's daylong Twitter battle Sunday.

"Bob Corker gave us the Iran Deal, & that's about it. We need HealthCare, we need Tax Cuts/Reform, we need people that can get the job done!" Trump tweeted.

The feud comes after Corker said Trump's administration would be in chaos if not for a few members of his Cabinet.

Trump started off Sunday slamming Corker, alleging Corker "begged" Trump to endorse him in the 2018 election in Tennessee and Trump turned him down. According to Trump, that's what caused Corker to retire instead of running for a third term.

Corker responded by calling the White House an "adult daycare center" and a source familiar with the call between Corker and Trump said the president lied about the nature of their phone conversation.

According to the source, Trump called Corker and asked him to reconsider retiring at the end of his current term. He offered his endorsement as an enticement to get him to run.

Corker has not shied away from criticizing Trump during his time in office, but the two have generally seemed to be collegial.
