There were 4 sitting US Senators in the Republican primary race for President, 5 US Senators counting sitting and former to include Rick Santorum. Graham has stepped out, leaving 3 sitting US Senators and 1 former US Senator.

None of the ones still in the race served more than 1 term, and 3 are junior Senators, still in their first terms but wanna be President.

Barack Obama was a junior Senator, not serving even a full term before he wanna be President.

Hillary Clinton was a junior Senator, serving only 1 full term, before she wanna be President.

These are people from both parties with no track record. They haven't stopped illegal immigration, they haven't balanced a budget, they haven't made peace, they haven't kept US safe, they haven't gotten our jobs back, they haven't curtailed excess legal immigration, they haven't raised wages, they haven't reduced the debt, they've done the complete opposite.

They're all lawyers except for Paul who is an eye doctor.

While in the Senate, they were or are 1 of 100 of the most powerful people in the United States. The 3 sitting Senators have the benefit of Republican control of both their own Chamber as well as the US House of Representatives.

When you can't lead a group of 100 fellow citizens when your own party is the majority, on what possible basis do you believe you can lead the United States and solve our problems that involve leading against 195 countries most of which are hostile in one way or another to our best interests?

When you can't outwit, outsmart or outlead Harry Reid, then you can't outwit, outsmart or outlead anyone. That's not Harry Reid's fault, that's your fault.

And an engraved gun raffle isn't going to change that fact.
