Trump to meet with Romney on Tuesday

President-elect Donald Trump will meet again with Mitt Romney on Tuesday, sparking new rounds of speculation that Romney could land the Secretary of State job even as senior Trump surrogates have attacked the 2012 GOP nominee.

Trump and Vice President-elect Pence will also meet with the follow people on Tuesday, per a press pool report:

• Rep. Marsha Blackburn, (R-Tenn.)
• Pete Hegseth, former of CEO Concerned Veterans of America
• Marion Blakey, president and CEO of Rolls Royce North America
• Sen. Bob Corker, (R-Tenn.)
• Rep. Mike McCaul, (R-Texas)
• Rep. Lou Barletta, (R-Pa.)

My opinion is that a Romney appointment of any kind will be a disaster for this administration. You don't need him, we don't want him, send him packing. Please.

Trump should be thankful for Conway's candor and the feedback of the vast majority of his own supporters that will be highly disappointed if he appoints Mitt Romney to any position of power!

I just saw Rand Paul interviewed on CNN about Secretary of State by Wolf Blitzer, asking Paul's opinion of Romney, Rudy, Bolton and Petraeus and when Rand Paul talks about foreign policy, I'm telling you he's got it down. I mentioned him a few weeks ago because of a good interview he had. He loves Trump's foreign policy positions. I don't think he'd have a truer more articulate Secretary of State than Rand Paul on foreign affairs. He says Bolton won't do because he's a hawk. Petraeus will have problems because of the sharing of classified information. Rudy he says is a hawk and he doesn't know Romney's positions so can't comment.

Then Wolf out of the blue asked him he'd had a call from Trump for a position and he said he had not and that he was very happy with his current job as Senator.

So I mention Rand Paul again as a possible choice for Secretary of State. He is soooo articulate and that's a real plus in diplomatic affairs and has a very nice pleasant demeanor. Keep him in mind, don't know if he wants it or would even consider it, but he's very informed and will be very aligned with Trump on foreign policy.
