There are hundreds/thousands of ways to cut costs.

That needs to be done with the budget process. This new deal would be when you approve your budget, you automatically adjust the debt ceiling if need be to pay for it. Some years ago it was changed to a 2 step process, approve the budget, then a separate vote to raise the debt ceiling to accommodate what you've already passed in the budget. Doing it all at the same time makes a lot more sense to me.

They have agreed to subject American citizens to unlimited amounts of crushing debt and servitude while removing any votes from our elected officials to ratify such debts.

Therefore, we should no longer be beholden to such debts.
