Trump scolds 'dirty' media

President Trump slammed the news media Tuesday morning on Twitter by calling reporters "dirty" and accusing them of making up sources.

"The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!" Trump said on his Twitter account.

Trump didn't refer to any particular story, but the president has repeatedly used Twitter to criticize the press for missing the "big story" on the FBI's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, which Trump says is the surveillance and unmasking that took place during the Obama administration.

In a subsequent tweet, Trump criticized the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for ruling against his executive order on immigration, which Trump has taken to calling a "travel ban."

The three-judge panel upheld an injunction Monday preventing the Trump administration from enforcing the president's executive order, which blocks people from six Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S. for 90 days.

The president did not say anything further, but "S.C." could be a reference to Supreme Court, as the Department of Justice asked the high court to review the ban.
