Sanders Supporters Saying They Will Support Trump over Hillary
Trump Gets Shocking Messages From Sanders Camp, This Is a Game Changer
In a stunning interview with Breitbart yesterday, Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said that she’s been receiving messages from Sen. Bernie Sanders’ camp that the Vermont socialist’s supporters would come over to Trump if he wins the nomination.
Pierson’s remarks were part of her argument that Trump was the only candidate who could beat Hillary Clinton in the general election.
“I’ve got Sanders people sending me messages — it’s surreal — saying that if they steal the nomination from Bernie they’re voting for Trump,” Pierson said. “So he is definitely the only candidate that can beat Hillary Clinton in the fall.”
Pierson, meanwhile, said that Cruz simply wasn’t strong anywhere that the Republicans needed.
“When we get to the general election, we have to look at the map,” Pierson said.
“Cruz hasn’t won a single state that would change anything,” she continued. “Trump has won Florida. He’s going to win New York. Moving forward, we’re going to be in other states where Mr. Trump is going to do really well. And in some of these cases, Ted Cruz is running third.”
“So this idea that Donald Trump would be the ‘weaker’ of the two regarding the vetting process because everyone’s going to go through that — I have to remind you that Donald Trump knows Hillary Clinton better than any other candidate, so I can guarantee you there’s going to be a very serious vetting process going against her as well,” she continued.
“Which is why he always says: ‘I haven’t even started on her yet.’ So I’m very confident that Donald Trump is definitely going to be the strongest candidate. I wouldn’t have supported him if I thought differently.”
She also said that Trump had been able to bring new voters into the process.
“The fact that he’s been able to win as many votes as he has and be ahead in the delegate count as he is today, goes to show me that he is strong and he can carry the base. And not to mention his position with regards to trade, and jobs, and the global bank system. We’re going to bring in even (more) new voters, more voters from the independent side, from the Democrat side,” she said.
That’s a pretty bold statement — the idea that Trump could take Sanders supporters. But given how Trump’s campaign has already appealed to so many groups of unlikely voters, what’s one more?

This sounds like a tantrum more than anything else. Why would he support Trump over Clinton? What are his political objections? If he honestly could support Trump politically, there should be a record to show why.

This is what I have been saying. Clinton will alienate large numbers of Sanders supporters and Trump is the best one to acquire them.

What a break if it is true and indeed it ends up happening! While the voters are diametrically opposite with respect to ideology from Trump, the main similarities they share are indignation toward the establishment and a waking up of how rigged both systems can be with respect to delegates and for the Democrats, super delegates. Come on over! Remember, I don't care how Trump wins at this point, I just care that he wins!

Why? Why are Sanders supporters alienated from Clinton? Where do Clinton and Sanders break company politically? They are both highly successful Democrats. Are you saying that Sanders has represented an opposing voice in the Obama or Clinton administrations? Give me an example
Sorry that's just empty rhetoric. The "establishment" is not the problem for these people. They are all Establishment, Trump included. I expect Trump to represent some sort of "establishment", it's what he promises as a matter of policy that leads me to support him.
If Sanders supports Trumps ideas for policy, he should say what they are or take his tantrum somewhere else.Support ALIPAC'sFIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Bernie and many of his supporters will support Trump over Hillary because of four very important reasons:
1. Trump's opposition to these horrible disastrous free trade treason deals sucking jobs, money and technology out of our nation
2. Trump's position on non-interventionism and belief that we should "rejigger" our involvement in foreign wars
3. Trump's position on our "rigged" political system that can and has separated voters from the party nominations for President
4. Trump's position on 2nd Amendment gun rights.Last edited by Judy; 04-21-2016 at 11:25 PM.

If I actually believed this, I would find it very concerning. The thought that so little political ideology separates the two men would amaze me. That is if I actually believed it, which I don't.

That sounds plausible, but I'm not hearing it from Sanders or his supporters. Let's remember the guy is a Democrat and a self avowed socialist. I would find it more informative to hear what he thought of the Obama administration. Trump openly declares that Obama's administration has been a global disaster. Hillary is at the ground floor of that disaster, but where was Sanders? Remember that it is common discourse that Obama is himself a socialist, a Marxist ("cultural Marxist"). Where does Sanders fit into that?

There is a possibility that it's a ploy to scare the Democrats into not denying him the nomination. This is his motivation at this point in time. To scare the DNC and the Superdelegates into believing he'll send his masses to Trump if he's denied the nomination. I think they'll say thanks for the notice but proceed on to nominate Hillary. Then what does Bernie do? What do his supporters do? I think with or without encouragement from Bernie, many Bernie supporters will move to Trump on their own, because many of Bernie's supporters only prefer him over Trump at this point because they believe erroneously that Trump is a bigot or misogynist or racist or xenophobe or all o the above. When the truth comes out that he's none of those things, not at all, not even one little bit, then they'll pour over to Trump.
And Sanders in the US Senate wants to stop free trade treason, so he would prefer a Trump over Hillary to work with seems to me. Also remember Bernie is a big 2nd Amendment guy so on that issue which is a big one for Vermont where he is a Senator, he would prefer a Trump over Hillary for that reason as well.
In fact, I should add gun rights to my list above which would make it 4 issues they have in common.
