    Dear Friends,

    I wanted to give you an update on the latest with the nearly trillion dollar spending bill we voted on today. During this entire process, I raised legitimate concerns about the package as it passed through the House and Senate. The bill we voted on this afternoon totaled over $790 billion and is 1,000 pages long.

    By the time the bill was finalized, the tax cuts contained within had been reduced to just $7.70 extra a week for the average worker. But $2 billion for the Neighborhood Stabilization Fund, providing funds to organizations such as ACORN, remained. So did $700 million for controversial “comparative effectivenessâ€

    Darn.....can't even count on the 13 bucks for the working person.
