North Texas politicians nor the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) have ever asked the people if they want 50 year toll contracts with private FOREIGN companies, well beyond when the road is paid for -- they never asked the people if they thought it was a good idea to pay "market rate" for tolls PLUS built-in guaranteed profit for the private company rather than just what it costs to build the road. This means toll rates as high as $1.50 a mile like in Austin.

They asked a few attendees at a few meetings last year prior to the Trans Texas Corridor hearings about escalation of toll rates on specific projects. They never asked about tolling 675 miles of important vitally needed new roads and EXPANSION OF MOST EXISTING STATE/FEDERAL HWYS in the region.
