This shows how huge the "globalist/internationalist" lobby is. It's the product of two generations of upward mobility and higher education that seeks to promote "international understanding." That's all well and fine, if balanced with safeguards for the protection of our nation's culture and it's citizens. When they talk about vulnerable persons how about Americans being displaced by immigration waves?

Immigration Reform is Revived in U.S. Senate! Your voice of reason is CRITICAL!
June 18, 2007
Su VOTO Es Su Voz! If you live in the 10th Congressional District, please go vote and encourage others to vote tomorrow.
The U.S. Senate will take up the immigration reform debate this week. A vote is expected this week and your voice is still needed! We have spoken to the staffs of both of our U.S. Senators and they appreciate your voice of reason. Please continue to call and EMAIL!
Georgia is being heard by reasonable people like yourselves. Share this with others and encourage them to call the 800 numbers below. In fact, Georgia has been generating lots of calls and has impressed many national groups. Since May 28th, 16,646 calls were generated from Georgia using the pro- immigration reform numbers below. Add your voice to the calls and continue to call in support of comprehensive immigration reform.
Your voice of reason is now very important. Please call, email, write or fax letters today to our Georgia U.S. Senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakkson.
Please call your U.S. Senators and encourage them to move the process forward. The status quo is not an alternative.
Finally, I do hope you will take the time to volunteer with GALEO as we begin our voter registration efforts. There are several upcoming events that we will need volunteer to register voters. Latinos need to hold elected officials accountable for their actions and their words. Unless we head to the ballot box and begin to make an impact, the anti-immigrant sentiment will continue.
CLILA in Dalton is starting a voter registration project within the next few weeks. Get a group together and let's do it!
Su Voto Es Su Voz!
Help us reach more Latino voters and help us make a difference in the upcoming Congressional election and the 2008 elections. It is never too early to start!
Please take the time to act. The time has come for action. Also, please circulate this email to others.
Thank you and hope you have a great weekend!
Contact our U.S. Senators!
Encourage them to move forward with comprehensive immigration reform. They MUST provide a reasonable solution to our broken immigration system.
If you would like to contact our U.S. Senators Isakson and Chambliss, please follow the link below. We have provided their local addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers and also a way to send in your support via email or website.
More analysis and specfic details are posted on our website under the AGENDA section. However, your voice is necessary NOW.

IN THE LIGHT OF LOVE
Prayer for Wisdom and Compassion in Immigration Reform
An Inter-Faith Day of Prayer
Thursday, June 21
We are concerned about the hard-hearted tone of the state and national discussion on immigration. On this day of solstice, the day of most light, we call on people of faith to bring a new sense of love, respect and understanding to immigration issues. May our eyes and hearts be open to a new awareness of our global neighborhood.
Kick-off: Inter-Faith Prayer Service

Letter Writing Campaign for Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Help To Make History!
The Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform is beginning a letter-writing campaign in support of comprehensive immigration reform. The debate in the Senate is a good start for us to get comprehensive immigration reform done this year.
The time to act is now!
We are looking to collect hundreds of thousands of letters to present to Congress and the President.
We have an historic opportunity to reform the immigration system this year, but we cannot do this without your help. We need to keep reminding our law makers about how important immigration reform is. We need reform that includes an earned path to citizenship, keeps families united, protects our workers and makes our country safe.

Message from CCIR!
Dear Advocates of Immigration Reform,
The Time To Act Is Now!
The fight for comprehensive immigration reform is far from over for one simple reason: doing nothing is not a victory. The borders are less secure, our nation is less secure, our economy is more vulnerable and our values as a nation are dramatically diminished. The Senate must not neglect its duty to address these issues by continuing to work on immigration reform. This is an historic opportunity to fix our broken system now - Congress must respond to the American people by demonstrating it can lead and achieve true reform.
You can help!
Forward this e-mail to 5 of your friends and have them voice their support for comprehensive immigration reform. They can call their Senator and urge them to support uniting families and protecting workers by dialing 1-800-417-7666.
They can also write them a letter urging them to keep families united, protect workers and respect due process by supporting reform. A prepared letter is waiting for them to sign and send to Congress and the White House, either through e-mail or by printing it off and sending it yourself.

Su Voto Es Su Voz!
This is from the Athens Banner Herald on Sunday, June 3, 2007:
"Greene is an Internet activist who spent a couple of weeks on the Arizona-Mexico border with the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, a group of private citizens who help overworked government agents corral suspected illegal immigrants, and earned the group's endorsement. His plan is to "loosen the leash": send National Guard troops to the border and let them arrest or even shoot at border- crossers. They'd be backed up by other soldiers who'd be sent to the border for training. "
You also must read what they have said. Here is today's AJC Editorial on the election:
