    ALIPAC Site testers needed BEFORE changes!

    Friends,

    I have some great news to announce! Thanks to a very generous ALIPAC supporter, we are able to schedule a big upgrade on our website that will help us move faster and serve more people at once here at alipac.us!

    We have been working on these issues for some time now and thanks to the new financial support we will be able to make the next leap forward.

    Please help us conduct a test BEFORE and AFTER our upgrade. The upgrade should be coming within 72 hours.

    For now, please do the following.

    PLEASE CLICK ON HOME IN THE UPPER LEFT OR TYPE www.alipac.us into your browser. After the page loads, look at the very bottom of the homepage to see the PAGE GENERATION times.

    Please post here your connection speed as T1, Broadband, DSL, or Dial Up.

    If you are on Dial Up please let us know your modem speek if you know it? 128k? 56k? 14.4k?

    If you have the time to test again later, post us reports sampled at different times per day. You can do that as new posts or by editing the new info into your first post.

    We will ask those of you participating to do this again after our upgrades so we can measure any improvements.

    I added the RAM because PC's with low RAM would load slower.

    DSL and page generation was 0.36 seconds and 0.42 seconds to get to reply screen. Will try again in the morning as the puter starts a scan at 11 a.m. and the first half hour is really slow-going.
