Update from CA State Senator Dave Cogdill - Action Request

Legislative update from Dave Cogdill, Senate Republican Leader, Senator Fourteenth District, California Legislature

    Dear Friend:

California taxpayers pay an estimated $1 billion a year to incarcerate illegal immigrants in the prison system. With the state facing at least a $17 billion budget deficit, this money could go toward reducing the deficit or providing services to CAlifornia citizens in need.

There are currently 18,000 illegal immigrants in prison for serious crimes - California taxpayers cannot continue to foot the bill for what seems to be an unending stream of illegal immigrants committing crimes, and then getting housed in our already overcrowded prison system.

Public safety must be government's top priority and that is why lawmakers need to take action immediately to address the current crisis facing California's prison system. Taxpayer's money must be spent wisely and that is why Senate Republicans vehemently support efforts to return illegal immigrants to their country.

This is an important issue for California and needs action right now-especially in light of the state's colossal budget crisis. Contact the President or your Congressional representative to urge them to deport these criminals or to reimburse the state for the costs of housing illegal immigrants in our prisons.

Dear friends, I am not able to spend the time I normally do on ALIPAC right now due to a family health crisis. Most of my time is being spent either at the hospital or traveling back and forth to S.F. while still taking care of my 93 mother-inlaw who is escaping further into dementia. Please if you can take the ball and run with this.

    Thanks,
    Sherry

Tuff-stuff!!!! They should have thought about that before they allowed millions to invade California.

The feds will reimburse CA as soon as CA stops offering SANCTAURY to illegal aliens. In the meantime, why not DEMAND that our government enforce the laws already on the books?

Deport the criminals entire families together, anchor kids included. Keep the families together and take away the incentive of the criminal re-entering because "his family" is here.

Start taxing remittances, stop all access to social/entitlement programs to illegal aliens, stop giving money to these activist organizations who feed on illegal aliens, start penalizing employers who hire illegal aliens. Get rid of birthright citizenship!!

That should go a hell of a long way in clearing up that deficit!
