DHS on Roger Hedgecock: not withdrawing report

Sean Smith, Assis. Sec. for Public Affairs for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), was just on the Roger Hedgecock show (4/14) to discuss DHS's report on "right-wing extremism."

The podcast is available on Roger's website, but here are some highlights:

*Smith admitted that those opposed to illegal immigration are "kind of" painted with a broad brush in this report & some language is "unfortunate." The "gist of this assessment is that we are going to be vigilant & look at violent extremists of any political persuasion."

*Does DHS consider those opposed to illegal immigration right wing extremists. Smith answer: "No."

*Smith said there was similar report done on left wing extremist groups that has not been released.

*Smith has never heard of the MS-13 gang.

*Will the report be withdrawn? Smith would not say yes, so at this time at least DHS is not withdrawing the report, so as Roger noted, it stands.

*Is DHS videotaping or recording in any way the tea parties? Smith reply: "Can't speak to things that are law enforcement sensitive..."

*Does DHS consider organizers of tea parties right-wing extremists? Smith reply: "I couldn't answer that."

Hello? Did he just fall off the turnip boat, or the jalapeno truck from Mexico? Does he read newspapers, or can he even read? MS-13 has been in the headlines for years all over this country.

It’s easier to play ignorant and uninformed than having to try to justify a position without exposing gross hypocrisy or a slanted view.

Mr. Smith from the Department of Homeland Security doesn't even know about MS-13? He must be too busy rubbing noses, and brushing hips within the Obama team to be able to know what's going on elsewhere. Maybe they just don't have time to think about other things besides bold spoken rhetoric, and grandstanding. Hopefully soon they'll get it together.

Funny how this report comes out from the DHS right after the MIAC report was withdrawn. Funny how they both come out against the American people instead of the real threat.

Yep, 911 was an inside job. Things have really gone down hill since. Perfect implosions of all buildings that fell. Those who are responsible should fry.

    We DEMAND it be released.

What are they afraid of? That all of the racist hate groups and reconquistas out there will be offended? Tough!!

    Release that report!!

Um, I think he has his nose somewhere else.....up someones..well, you know.

Well, I must say, I don't care at this point if they call us right wing extremists, we're tired of the BS, unsecured borders, bail-outs and extremist government. No more, call me all the rhetoric names you want, I have seen and had enough.

Napoliano was on The Early show saying she would not change the report maybe a word here or there but the overall report stands and is in her opinion valid because of Timothy McVay and the OK city bombing.
