Show me the Bill! I want to read it

OK, I think we should all demand that Washington CHANGE! We need to see all of these bills before any darn voting on them! Last year I remember reading the entire Immigration bill one night and could not sleep after reading all the crap it contained!

Face it, none of these people really read it! It should be mandatory that they read it and sign that they have read it before voting on it! Let the public see what is being voted on! This is 2009, MG we can do it via the Internet! It is already in electronic format just post the darn thing with its updates every day!

If you want change, I vote to CHANGE the way politicians work! Make them accountable for what they vote on! Let the public in on all this crap!
Maybe, just MAYBE then we can get some change!

I go one further, a computer generated quiz asking 10 specific questions about the bill, they must answer 9 out of 10 right before they are eligible to vote on the bill

As much as I hate Huffington post, they have it there for people to view. Here's the link. Get some coffee and your reading glasses.

That would really suck if our supporters failed the test and eliminated their vote to help our cause.

No what would suck is in an enforcement bill cracking down hard on illegals, in the middle of a paragraph found in the middle of page 439, this one sentence is found :

"this bill changes the definition of illegal alien to anybody in this country illegally prior to 1854, all others previously considered illegal will be given now and forevermore the status of citizen"

The entire rest of the 987 page bill is about the stiff penalties given to illegal aliens and their enablers. Once this is signed into law, it is beyond amnesty, it is a free for all because it bestows automatic citizenship on everyone in the planet who was not illegally here prior to 1854. Our supporters may have thought they were doing the right thing, but the devil is in the details, and if they have not read, and do not know these details, they should not be voting.

cayla99, you MUST have the page number wrong. Through the link above, I did screen caps of page 439 below. If you found that text in the bill, please review and post the page number here. This needs to be exposed. Meanwhile this is page 439:
