The only blacks for illegal immigration are predominantly Haitian. I think that the politicians are looking at them as they have the largest population here. We have lots of them in South Florida and there is a percentage of illegals as well.

I recall that during the initial reconstruction phase in New Orleans, 70+ black construction workers were sent by an Alabama employment agency to N.O. (at the request of local contractors), only to be quickly replaced by Hispanics who had gravitated to the area looking for work. These 70+ men had been in the construction industry for quite some time, and, apparently, were reliable workers. Many had lost their jobs in Alabama due to the hurricane and needed to work. When the itinerant Hispanics arrived on the scene the other men were told to leave, that their replacements had arrived. Understandably, these men were very angry and pursued legal representation. Last I heard their attorney had filed a class action suit on their behalf. I'm not sure what the current status is.

What made this even more outrageous is that Bush had publicly stated that any jobs available for reconstruction would be offered to American citizens---that other workers(meaning illegals) would only be brought in if the jobs couldn't be filled.

From what little I see these days, they still are trying to keep NO residents out as much as they can.

It seems the black community is starting to wake up to the truth about illegal immigration and it's impact on them. While illegal aliens have continued to drive down wages and hurt those in this country whose livelihood depends on manual labor, the activists in the black community have actually supported them -- if you can believe that.
Just recently it was discovered that at one single placement agency alone, over 70 construction workers -- who were predominantly black -- in the Katrina recovery region were replaced by illegal aliens. This is one agency. Multiply that by all the agencies in the region and you'll see what a travesty is being placed on the black community by illegal immigration. These are Americans who want to work, not people looking for a handout.
Now they are starting to speak out against the injustices illegal immigration places on those they claim to defend and support.

What a lot of people don't realize is that many South and Central Americans are considered black. In fact in some of those countries whites are the minority. The Maimi Herald had articles about that.

I hope the blacks come out in force in 2008 to replace any members of the black caucus who may be up for re-election. But pray God, they don't elect democrats! Giving them control of Congress was a monumental mistake! As would be electing Obama or Clinton!!!!

Ill tell you WHY Jesse Jackson and many blacks are not all over the immigration bills / law.

Operation P.U.S.H, the Reverend Jesse Jackson and the NAACP need to be slapped as they sat idly by and watched Illegals Lie on Americans period in Illinois and Nevada and did nothing, costing them their jobs, Workmen's Compensation, unemployment, social security benefits due to the theft of their Identifying information and the "Kangaroo Court System" in Nevada. Americans cannot obtain Attorneys to defend themselves or their Rights.

These Civil Rights Groups, if you can call them that, pandered to Hispanics that are there in his Rainbow Push Coalition, demanding Amnesty and all the perks of Being a ligitimate American. African Americans are realizing that it is their FREEDOMS they fought for, jobs, housing and other benefits being given carte blache to Illegals that are literally getting away with murder. Imagine if any American was caught doing the same Felony violations of law and what would happen to them!

The Powers that be are using Illegal Aleins in racial discrimination, hiring and jobs practices and laughing all the way to the bank as they Lower Wages and Quality of life. It is their way of ensuring their position in politics and in employment. All Americans need to draw the line in the Sand and say NO! It is the elitists/globalists taking everybody for a ride! All of our Civil Rights are at Stake!

jackson, sharpton et al, are NOT civil rights fighters, they are poverty peddlers. they have done more to oppress black Americans in recent years then almost any single factor blacks have had to over come to succeed.
