It would be nice if Roy Beck could explain to Glenn that a too wide open door creates problems too. Sustainable numbers allowed to enter, merit of those who seek to come, a thorough screening, American workers first, and the question of whether or not there is a real need for foreign workers should be the guidelines.
Glenn says that legal immigrants renew us.
One of the people says that most Americans do not have something to compare to as far as differences between us and other nations.

Glenn Beck turned into another Lou Dobbs today on his television show. He believes if the illegal immigrants are already here, and have not committed any crimes, they can stay and do whatever it takes to become legal.

in all honesty there are good illegal aliens who already have a stable jobs and they don't have 4, 6, 10 children. both spouses work in services : cleaning maintenance. I think those in that kind of jobs should get a chance to get their citizenships. i just don't agree with day laborers and those who abuse Anchor Baby mentality. IMO.

What I came to realize is,although IA's may work hard and cause no trouble the bottom line is they have broken our immigration laws. They jumped ahead of Legal Immigrants who have done the right thing and waited their turn while struggling in their home countries and the IA's are lowering workers wages and taking jobs that belong to legal Immigrants and citizens.
For me now I am solidly against anyone who thinks it is ok to sneak into our country and use fake or stolen ID to get jobs they have not earned the right to have.
US citizenship is not a right it is a privilege bestowed upon those who have done the right thing and proven they deserve to be part of our great nation.Usually Legal Immigrants assimilate and truely want to be part of the American family."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

The real connection between illegals and entry level jobs is that employers use them, so that they can get cheaper labor and, over time, those jobs become associated with illegals. But that situation results from employers breaking the law and excluding Americans. I know this because, as I said above, we in fact did all those jobs - except for field work, of course. Not much of that available in the inner city
GeorgiaPeach, Ratbastard, and USPatriot, we've got to hammer away at the jobs issue. I've talked to yuppies about this. Some of them think that illegals are the only people who will do entry level jobs.

As for AG jobs offer them to Low Risk Prisoners and we would have all the AG workers we need. It's a win win situation. The Prisoner makes a few bucks, the Prison makes some money to pay for the Prisoners incarceration."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

We did not have an illegal immigration problem in my area. Americans worked in all of the occupations that we now see illegal aliens taking over.
Restaurants used young students, college age students, seniors and others for jobs that they now give to illegal aliens. It is the cheap labor, plain and simple. You see them arrive, piled on top of one another, waiting for rides, or walking. They speak Spanish to one another, and stare at you too.
Illegals coming here to provide for their families hurt American families. They hurt the family of the construction worker, the painter, the landscaper, the restaurant worker, the maid. They do not have jobs or lost their jobs because illegal aliens were hired. They also steal the identities of Americans, of American children, and of dead family members. They also lack remorse. Where do you see the apology for breaking the law, stealing, and taking services and benefits? They are in general, indignant, rude, and quick to find an organization or lawyer to go after anyone who would even question their "right" to be here, and to take everything from Americans.
We need to demand that the sending nations take responsibility. If we have a wishy washy attitude on illegal aliens, they and their front groups will continue to take advantage of the United States. Their numbers must be made smaller through enforcement, through verification for work and for entitlements. The magnets must be cut.
When you allow large numbers of unskilled, low income, non English speaking people to overwhelm the population, you bring welfare in mass, you bring the demands for accommodation for language, services, and benefits, and you bring competition to American workers, with low wages. You also invite foreign citizens to insult us by demonstrating in our streets with their foreign flags, and their children make our children go home for displaying their American flags proudly. 200 students walked out of class over the American kids with the American flag.
It would be nice for everyone to have a better life, however it is not for everyone to have it here, because they are hurting our nation and the citizenry. We need to encourage others to seek liberty and a better life within their own nations. They need to hold their governments and representatives accountable, not ours. They need to fight and to demonstrate in their own language on the streets of their homeland.
