Video of FBI raid of D.C. CTO office

    http://link.brightcove.com/services/pla ... 6413034001

The D.C. CTO is now caught up in a scandal in which an Indian offshore company is alleged to have used bribes to have taxpayer-funded work, which could be done by American citizens, sent overseas and done by foreigners.

Here's another IT company that specializes in working for US governmental entities. Take a look at the career opportunities, how many of them are here and how many of them overseas.

Then take a look at these services offered. How would you like to be hired and evaluated by a foreign contractor? What do you think your career outcome will eventually be?

So they are taking American candidates for Federal jobs, putting them through all the background checks and probation periods the jobs require and then throwing them away by having workers in another country "manage" them without either meeting the US employee or the American agency know who the foreign manager is?

Sounds like a labor arbitrage scam that should be stopped immediately!

I watched the video but couldn't figure out what it had to do with your comments. The video definitely didn't show a connection to an immigration issue.

The raid on the DC CTO office happened because an H-1B visa worker from India bribed a Washington DC official so that work could get transferred to an offshore Indian company. The bribe was around 70,000 dollars. The Federal government has been attempting to replace more American jobs with temporary workers from India and several of the large companies have been suspected of using bribes to get work. Also, there is alot of fraud associated with H-1B visa workers from Indian, including fake resumes and both the USCIS and DHS are getting involved because these foreign worker frauds are a form of illegal immigration, especially since many of these workers with fraudulent and/or criminal back grounds are attempting to immigrate to the US and be put on Green Card waiting lists. These Indian H-1Bs have been so numerous in the last two years that it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of American citizens in the technical professions, including medical doctors, have lost their jobs due to the fraudulent manipulation of "prevailing wage" laws which are ignored and throw employed Americans out of work.

That's all good, however, the video itself doesn't speak to the story. I guess what I'm saying is the video means very little without the story behind it. Is there a news article covering the reason and details of the raid? Thanks.

The only thing let out to the public is that the current chief of the Washington D.C. Chief Technology Office, Yusef Acur, was arrested for taking a bribe worth $70,000 from an Indian Offshore company named AICT. The results of the raid at his office are not being divulged to the public right now. Up until a week ago Vivek Kundra also had the same title Acur (and office) has now (or not, because of the arrest) and Kundra was placed on administrative leave by Obama from the new job of United Chief Information Officer that he received from Obama just three days ago. It is common knowledge that Kundra had business dealings with the Indian offshore company that bribed Acur $70,000 to hand over more lucrative Federal government work contracts to Indian workers in India. It is also known that Kundra was working with this company while this company engaged in fraudulently billing the American government for work not done or delivered. It is not clear, however, if Kundra is directly guilty of any wrong doing and the FBI did a surprise raid to see if any office records could come up with any more information. Currently, the government will not release a statement about the raid itself.
