    They’re intent on killing this party, no matter how hard they have to work to do it. Here’s Chertoff’s partner in amnesty, Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, and the newest Republican black sheep from Arizona, Sen. Jon Kyl, telling Wolf Blitzer yesterday that their patience with the anti-amnesty wing is limited, so they’d best get those amendments out on the table so they can be properly voted down and this sucker can get passed. NRO, incidentally, offered Kyl an olive branch last Thursday.



    Incidentally, the president you elected will meet with Senate Republicans tomorrow to try to stir up a little amnesty fever in the ranks. Gushes open borders shill (and RNC Chair) Mel Martinez, “The fact that he’s coming to the Hill is kind of dramatic and shows his dedication to this issue.â€
