An article appeared in the Washington Times noting that there is now evidence that terrorists have teamed with drug cartels and illegal aliens.

Islamic extremists embedded in the United States — posing as Hispanic nationals — are partnering with violent Mexican drug gangs to finance terror networks in the Middle East, according to a Drug Enforcement Administration report.

"Since drug traffickers and terrorists operate in a clandestine environment, both groups utilize similar methodologies to function ... all lend themselves to facilitation and are among the essential elements that may contribute to the successful conclusion of a catastrophic event by terrorists," said the confidential report, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times.

The 2005 report outlines an ongoing scheme in which multiple Middle Eastern drug-trafficking and terrorist cells operating in the U.S. fund terror networks overseas, aided by established Mexican cartels with highly sophisticated trafficking routes.

This is true, but not all to the good. The Democrats, who bear their own share of the blame for this state of affairs, will likely escape by deflecting all the blame on Chertoff; not that he doesn't deserve his share, mind you, it's just that there is plenty to go around.

If that were true, Paige, wouldn't Bush have the border secured? Or has Bush changed his tune as well? If he has, he's fogotton the border. The jerk never should have left it open in the first place.

There is more than enough blame to go around for both major parties. On has done us as much a disservice as the other, and I say, a pox on both their houses!

Yep both sides are traitors.

Money and power is their God and that is what is running the show.

I don't, for a moment, think Graham and McCain are changing their tunes - just talk to try to mollify us while they plan something else or until election is over.
