Ted Cruz, America’s favorite “Whacko Bird” in the U.S. Senate, was the keynote speaker at the 2014 Palm Beach GOP Lincoln Day dinner in Palm Beach, where he showed the 700+ in attendance that he was not that cranky old right-winger that liberals and the John McCain’s of the world him to be.

Ted Cruz has jokes.

Some of us who know Ted pretty well know him as somewhat of a funny man, but last night in Palm Beach, Cruz brought out his full repertoire of funnies.

The playful joking was directed at the establishment GOP, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and the El Presidente himself, Barack H. Obama. Watch the funny video.

Help me out here, everyone. Why is it Ted Cruz gets a pass when he has stated he is for legalization and increasing foreign work visas? Why do we ignore it? Why is he never questioned about HIS own words? I think Cruz is using some lawyer double speak and trying to have it both ways. Do remember, he was a domestic polity advisor for GW Bush at the time of pushing amnesty.

I don't trust any politician except Jeff Sessions on immigration, but I posted this because I thought the speech was clever and funny. I especially like the cell phone line.

Thanks, Newmexican. I agree on Sessions, who is always consistent and reliable on this issue, unlike Cruz.

Jeff Sessions won't get to first base past the elitist (Chamber of Commerce) power cliques in the GOP.

I doubt Ted Cruz will either, for that matter.

I doubt that Jeff Sessions has any aspirations for the White House. I do believe that he stands with US citizens on immigration.
