Virginia Delegate Looking to Ban Undocumented from Public Universities

In 2008, Virginia’s Republican state Delegate Christopher Peace attempting to pass a bill that would ban undocumented immigrants from attending public university. The bill was not passed, but now he’s trying again.

When presented to the Virginia House in 2008, Peace’s original bill passed, but it did not make it through the Senate. He says this year’s bill will be along the same lines as his previous one, but says this one is more about dealing with issues he says the federal government refuses to handle.

Peace reportedly told a newspaper, “The federal government has continued to not act in these areas, and as a result, the states are having to look across the board to limit the incentives for people to be hereâ€

a bill that would ban undocumented immigrants from attending public university.

This should be a no-brainer. Hows about a wee bit of common sense....just a little?

they need to ban them from all public schools so taxpayers won't have to pay for them. it's bad enough that taxpayers have freeloading citizens but it's worse that we have to pay for illegals too.

It doesn't make sense to support not only the education of illegals, but to support the education of people who literally will not be able to put their education to use because of their illegal status. Did you know that there are scholarships that are specifically for illegal aliens????? Now who in their right mind would invest their money into a person's future whom they know will not be able to legally get a job after graduation???????

If we simply put it that no illegal will get credit for any education they get here including diplomas then they have no need to attend school. Revoke all diplomas of those students that were illegal when they were attending school. Remove funding from schools who knowingly enroll illegals.
