Wall Street Journal to Trump: Behave like a president or hand nomination to Pence

Wall Street Journal to Trump: 'Behave like a president or turn the nomination over to Mike Pence'

The Wall Street Journal's editorial board has a message for Donald Trump: Stop whining or drop out.

In an editorial published Sunday evening, the right-leaning editorial board questioned the Republican nominee's temperament, accusing him of lacking interest in acquiring in-depth policy knowledge and scolding him for his frequent outbursts against the news media.

"If they can't get Mr. Trump to change his act by Labor Day, the GOP will have no choice but to write off the nominee as hopeless and focus on salvaging the Senate and House and other down-ballot races," the editorial board wrote.

"As for Mr. Trump, he needs to stop blaming everyone else and decide if he wants to behave like someone who wants to be President — or turn the nomination over to Mike Pence."

The board wrote that it "should be obvious" to Trump that the campaign is dysfunctional. Trump has been unable to make inroads in key battleground states despite Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's unpopularity, sluggish economic growth, and a restless electorate tired of eight years of Democratic control of the White House.

The board also expressed skepticism that the real-estate magnate was capable of changing the tone of his campaign, citing his increasingly hostile rhetoric toward various news media outlets and his inability so far to avoid controversial gaffes.

"Mr. Trump has alienated his party and he isn't running a competent campaign," the board wrote. "Mrs. Clinton is the second most unpopular presidential nominee in history — after Mr. Trump. But rather than reassure voters and try to repair his image, the New Yorker has spent the last three weeks giving his critics more ammunition.

"Even with more than 80 days left, Mr. Trump's window for a turnaround is closing. The 'Trump pivot' always seemed implausible given his lifelong instincts and habits."

The Wall Street Journal article is the latest in a slew of high-profile newspaper editorial pieces critical of the Republican presidential nominee. Earlier this year, The Washington Post's editorial board took the unusual step of unendorsing Trump months before the election, labeling him an "unusual threat to democracy." The Boston Globe opinion section ran a fake front-page cover imagining what life would be like under a Trump administration, predicting an economic downturn and harsh libel laws.

Just another example of the STUPID, SICK, MENTALLY ILL CORRUPT MEDIA pile on against Trump. It is NOT the place of the Editorial Board of the Wall Street Journal or any other newspaper in the United States to tell any candidate what to do. It is NOT why Americans have fought long and hard to protect the rights under the First Amendment for the "free press". It is NOT appropriate to write editorials like this against either candidate or any candidate. You are free of course to express your opinion about a policy, a position, a certain action. But you are no more entitled to exploit the rights and privileges our people give you for "free press" to shape, transform, modify, lure, entice, or lead elections through your rights of "free press".

To tell any candidate to "stop whining or drop out" is wrong. To belittle a candidate who has worked as hard as Donald Trump to get his message out, who has spent thus far over $60 million of his own money, who has won 38 states in the primary against 16 opponents and won the most votes of any candidate in a Republican Primary in the history of the Republican Party to "stop whining or drop out"???!!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??!!

    To say things like this:

"As for Mr. Trump, he needs to stop blaming everyone else and decide if he wants to behave like someone who wants to be President — or turn the nomination over to Mike Pence."
That is so wrong!! What is wrong with you?? Are you sick, mentally ill, disturbed, in a syndrome from your own weakness, stupidity, corruption and powerlessness over the people, WSJ??!! Is that what's wrong with you? Or are you now part of the problem our country is dealing with?!

Trump has every right to blame the Media for totally biased coverage. Trump has every right to prepare for voter fraud in states without voter ID. Trump has every right to stand up and speak out about the problems our country faces including a biased globalist media that has obviously been using their power of the press to influence US elections and policy based on bias and personal views spilling over into their professional responsibilities as journalists.

There is no definition of "Presidential" in the United States. There is no certain "behavior" that is a prerequisite to being President. If there was, Bill Clinton would not only have been impeached, he would have been removed from office. If there was, Hillary Clinton wouldn't be the nominee of the Democratic Party. If there was, Jack Kennedy would have never been President of the United States.

So don't sit there in your Globalist Jobs at the Wall Street Journal wailing about someone either being "Presidential" or dropping out of a Presidential race. If you don't like Donald Trump for some reason, that's fine, if you're a citizen of the United States, then you can vote for someone else. But do not force your readers many of whom support Donald Trump to read your juvenile rubbish.

Donald Trump is the epitome of the US President. He speaks plain talk, he communicates with the people, he wants to fix our country, he has the guts and courage to take on the Establishment running this country into the ground, he has unwavering loyalty to the American People and our nation, he has common sense solutions and the intelligence to implement those solutions. He tells the people the truth about our country in ways most people can understand it.

For a Republican candidate to be behind in August in traditionally Democratic States is not a crime, it is not a failure, it's the way it is because there are more Democrats than Republicans in those states, which simply means more work has to be done in those states to win them. That is what Trump is doing, doing the work to win these states.

So why write an article like this? Why tell a candidate who working his heart out to win an election to "be Presidential or drop out"? How about we tell you to be fair or close your newspaper business? How about that? How about you either do your jobs as journalists or shutter your business? How about we start issuing state press licenses? Would you like that? You know like doctors, nurses, real estate agents, and so many others have to get to practice their profession. How about before you can be a newspaper, before you can work for a newspaper as a writer or editor or journalist, you have to take courses, you have to pass a test, you have to obtain a license, you have to do continuing education, you have to pay fees, or be shut down? Would you like that??!!

Oh and don't wail about the First Amendment. When you can restrict the 2nd Amendment under the Commerce Clause, we can restrict the First Amendment under the same Commerce Clause. Don't fool yourselves. It's NOT been the First Amendment that's protected your rights of free speech, it's been the will of the American People, a will you are seriously jeopardizing in this election. When you exploit your rights as part of the "free press" to try to influence the outcome of a Presidential Election, you have crossed the line and are losing the support of the American People. Without our support, you have no more rights under the First Amendment than the ones we wish to grant you.

Welcome to America, where Americans Rule.
