Thread: WARNING ALL ALIPACers: Please read and respond

I just did the math last night on our fund raiser. At this point we are headed towards raising less than $16,000 by 9/11

The unfortunate facts of life for ALIPAC is that only raising this much would only fund our operations into October thus forcing us to shut down.

I am determined to use every dollar to keep things going as long as possible, but the 30k is the minimum we must raise to even make it through 2008 and at that minimum level we still need to raise another 15,000 some other way without pestering our website users and email lists.

At these minimal levels, we will be able to complete our missions for the year and endorse and promote candidates but we will not be able to contribute unless the levels go higher.

So, if you are an ALIPAC web board user and you value this service, NOW IS THE TIME TO CHIP IN.

Unless anyone has some suggestions on how we can run an effective national organization on less than 100k per year, we need your support right away.

We are not going down without a fight and if the funds level is still low come Monday I will pull some of our top people from their current duties in the fight and put them on the phones with me calling donors.

Let's all pull together and pull the nose up on ALIPAC before a crash becomes unavoidable.

Just signed up for the yearly $25 come on people... I will eat beans for the next week to continue this fight

Common everyone!! We can do this. I've donated twice so far and I don't make that much money. I will do another donation at the end of the week. If everyone donated $25 I think we would be o.k. Whatever you can afford is better than nothing!!

Yes, even $5 or $10 would help. Just think if we all donated at least that much. Almost anyone can afford that!

We have thousands of members, so if each would donate $10 or $15, we would easily reach our goal. No reason to donate more unless you have the desire to.

I'd recommend not sending out mailers as doing advertising via email is so much cheaper...I get flyers (mailers) all the time from anti-immigration groups, political candidates on our side or marginally on our side, etc, and it seems like a waste of money/postage...I'm not putting anyone down for doing it, just seems like an expense that can be reduced or eliminated. I also don't like the scare tactics used in these mailers...if you don't donate and we don't have an organization, then our borders will be overrun, etc. Yes, probably true to an extent, but a dedicated group on a lean budget can still accomplish alot...desire and motivation are the key ingredients to success. You do what you can with the resources you have.

One suggestion for raising money/donations might be to have members do gun shows with an ALIPAC booth. You could sell ALIPAC pins, buttons, t-shirts, etc at the booths, or memberships. Now, that's getting into a whole different world. The point is that it is a way to gain revenue...another anti-illegal alien group that I belong to does that and seems to do so effectively.

That's about the extent of my suggestions/knowledge on the issue.

We all need to donate what we can can. I dont know what I would do without ALIPAC fighting on our side.

One, you can use the secure online donations feature on the top blue tool bar on each page of alipac.us

You can donate that way by credit card or paypal or you can donate by mail.

Donating by mail requires a personal check, no business checks sorry, sent to

How many actual members do we currently have? It may help the effort if each member had an individual target to shoot for in order for our goal to be reached. It may make the task of hitting our goal seem more feasible if each member could conceptualize an individual target to shoot for. If we had 750 members, that would only be $20.00 per person to reach $15,000 target.

You can then post that target, based upon what each member woud have to contribute in order to hit target. I'm sure there are many members who stop by ALIPAC on a daily basis, even if they do not participate in the various forums. They may be more inclined to donate if they had a number to visualize...

That is an excellent idea NoBueno! I think alot of people can afford $20. It shouldn't be left to just a few of us. Everyone has a role and if you can't call politicans and do the e-mails then this is an easy way to help with the fight.
