Thread: Warrant: Rape suspect tried to grab officer's gun

I placed this here ( and it might be in the wrong place) because as usual WRAL doesn't give the guys immigration status. But from the looks of his mug shot I don't think he'll be going after anyone elses gun anytime soon!




Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man being investigated for statutory rape tried to grab an officer's gun as he was being arrested Sunday, according to arrest warrants.

Detectives went to take Sergio Naranjo, 41, into custody after he was accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl on Friday, the warrants state. Naranjo resisted and grabbed an officer's gun with both hands, police said. The officer was not hurt.

Naranjo was charged with assault of a government official and statutory rape when the defendant was at least six years older than the victim.

He was placed in the Wake County jail under a $510,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

He looks pretty good concidering cops beat on him.He should have know better and looks like he got schooling on it.He might have looked alot worse if the dad of the girl would have gotten a hold on him.
