    It's 7:40PM in Southern California, and it is still very light outside. I still see colors, and all is not grey yet. I'm about 2 hours from the Ca/AZ border.LW

    This must be a tape. Recognize his voice and was watching it earlier live until he had to cut out due to lack of light.

    I'm in Idaho and it's still light here. I just heard them say they could only stay up nother 50 minutes. They said earlier that it's too dangerous to fly after dark because of all the helicopters in the air.

    Yes, it stays lighter longer the farther north you go this time of year. It's dark here now closer to the border of both states and I watched earlier as it got darker and darker. This was earlier, I'm sure. But it is interesting to follow nonetheless.
