We went garage saling today and I talk (and talk) when I meet people.

There were two different garage sales that were being held by teachers. One kinda youngish, 35, who teaches history, the other recently retired high school teacher.

In conversations with both of them, they both seemed to have conceded to the fact that America or at least the Southwest is gone. The retired teacher was very sad and angry. She said she had been telling her students for some years now, they had better pay attention and begin doing something if they didn't want to loose their country.

The younger one just flippant said, 'yes, it was Mexico and it will be again'.
His attitude seemed that he was fine with it. I just wonder what he is teaching his children. Is he teaching them what America is about, is he warning them as the older teacher did, or is he teaching them to believe it is lost or maybe even a good thing. Kinda scary.
