Today I received a letter from Jean Schmidt letter is as follows

Thank You for contacting me regarding immigration reform. I appreciate hearing from you.

As you may be aware I cosponsored H.R. 4437 the boarder protection antiterrorism and illegal immigration border control act of 2005. This bill which passed the House of Representatives in the 109th congress, sought to more effectively enforce our nations current immigration laws and stop the flow of illegal aliens. I did not support the Senate passed immigration reform measure.

I expect the House of Representatives, to consider the issue of immigration again in this congress I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT Legislation to stop the flow of illegal aliens and I WILL NOT SUPPORT measures that would condone or reward illegal behavior again thank you for contacting me I appreciate the benefit of your perspective on these issues .

Now unlike other congress men and woman I have spoken with in the past Jean signs her own letters...
I will call her next week and see about puting her in touch with the alipac reps....
