Today on Sean Hannity's radio program, he had John McCain taking calls from listeners. One man called in and asked McCain if he was for amnesty. Of Course McCain said that he was not for amnesty and never had been. Now many people listening to that program think that John McCain doesn't support amnesty, when we know the opposite is true.

Instead of asking a generic question, such as, do you support amnesty, the caller should have said: Federal law states that the penalty for illegal entry into the United States, is deportation. Would you then agree that any penalty, other than deportation, is amnesty?

You can bet McCain would have choked on that one and shown his true colors. If we expect to win this battle, we have to do better at making our points. If you're going to call into a national program and argue our side, you need to make sure you're prepared to make an effective arguement.
