Thread: I thought ALIPAC did not back any candidates?

I wake up this morning to read that William tell ABC news that he might be backing Lou Dobbs!!?? Personally Lou Dobbs would be my top pick also. But, let's get real here. Will he run?? I doubt it. (I would love to eat these words) William please back Ron Paul. This guy has the best chance out there. Ron Paul has already repeated over and over that there will be NO AMNESTY.

William said, he is not backing a candidate and I seriously doubt that he will go back on his word.

Lastly, Lou is not even in the race and it's been a comical statement that William wants Lou Dobbs for president.

ALIPAC is a PAC and can legally and legitimately back any candidate the organization leadership so chooses. It could also provide campaign contributions to any candidate(s) legally and legitimately. However, out of respect for the differences in support for the several candidates by the many members of ALIPAC, an announced backing of any one candidate will not be made. HOWEVER, the pros and cons of the candidates on immigration will be brought out into the bright light for exposure and examination. An example is the expose' on Huckabee currently taking place in Iowa.

I don't think you meant this to sound so cut and dry. Did you Dix? I'm sure if someone had a question William would be happy to answer it. Although I would suggest a PM to him. I would also hope that people who have been here awhile, know William well enough to trust him. But some new comers may have questions. Anyway just wanted to throw this out for any trolls who may try and twist it into something it isn't.

Since Lou Dobbs is not a candidate, don't see anything wrong with William's comment. If William said that about Huckabee, it would be a different story, lol.

Dixie, Take a chill pill. I would question the Supreme court if needed. Because we are a president of an organization we cannot be questioned??? I support William 100% for what is happening here. Thank God for this ALIPAC organization. I had not even taken a sip off my cup of coffee yet when I read this topic. Comical OK.

Well now there're questions and then there're are attacks. Clearly your post title and its' first line is an attack. Essentially you said William lied and endorsed a candidate. Lou Dobbs is not a candidate. Dixie got it right.

For "W" to back RP would be just as bad as Tancredo backing Mitt

Yea RP isn't for amnesty but will open the border once the welfare state is gone which does the same thing or worst. He thinks they are coming here for the welfare – wrong it’s the jobs. I can't figure out why someone would back RP if illegal immigration is your main issue. You need to check his record and where he stands today. No for going after the employers is the most important action to take yet he's against it. If it is because you think he has a chance in winning, I don’t think so and wait until next week to see.
