Thread: We'd have been better off if Kerry had been elected

Kerry is slime, but I think the point the author of this thread was trying to make, was don't fall for voting for the "lesser of two evils gambit", and don't be afraid to vote for an alternative party candidate, or independent candidate, if you're of a mind to.

The Republican controlled Congress under most of Bush's presidency rolled over for the same kind of big government, socialistic policies, they would have fought tooth and nail against, if they'd been pushed by a Democrat president.

Your observations about Kerry are 100% correct though, APACHEWHOKNOWS.

And if Kerry had won, we'd likely still have this financial meltdown and voters would be blaming Dems instead of punishing good pols such as Elizabeth Dole and John Sununu. Bush Jr. helped make a big mess of things.

I just taped a large yard sign over the cab on the front of my truck that reads, "Obama--McCain Both Suck! I should get some strong reactions out here on the left coast! You are so tight, Seal. My opinion is that McAmnesty & Osama Barak are so nearly identical in the ways they want to destroy America that it is the perfect election to go 3rd Party! Since we have a liberal running against a Marxist, why not? Fire (Fascist) Society booted me & others off their forum for advocating people vote for Chuck Baldwin & leave the McBamas, the Republicrats, in the dust.

Our problem is that aside from the short time Newt was running congress, the conservative movement has been rudderless & leaderless since Ronald Reagan left office. With weenie-spined "leaders" like Trent Lott the Bushes & other RINO/crooks at the helm, our cause is adrift. To paraphrase Reagan, "We haven't left the Republican Party, the Republican Party has left us"! And that is the truth. We need a REAL American Conservative Party with strong leadership & we need it NOW. Otherwise, 4 years from now Republicrat liberals will be hearlding the demise of liberty, industry & the Constitution in America & we conservatives will need to found our own country to enjoy these things.

We all see what happened when we conservatives voted in a Republican Senate, Congress & White House. These jerks got together & spent like a bunch of drunken Democrats! It was an unmitigated disaster. So what are we to do? Do it again? We all have heard that Einstein's definition of insanity is, "Doing the same thing over & over, expecting a different result". Only the insane will keep voting Republican & expect a different result.

I used to believe that the only hope for the republic is to keep The White House & Congress In the hands opposing ideologies/parties. This is because as long as the government is fighting itself, it can't be bothered to tax, restrict, kill, deprive us. Remember the impeachment? No taxes got raised. Our freedoms were not curtailed. They were not interested in bugging our phones. But if both parties are the same, how is that possible? Unless we put together a strong, liberty-minded 3rd party that is willing & able to wrestle in the mud & fight the Soros, open borders, NAU, enemies it will not be possible. We will lose our republic & our children will have no future.
