Thread: WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL

Somebody please put one of those lying down, laughing things on here for American Patriot. That just made my day! I'm going to be laughing all night. Thank yoiu, American Patriot!

Okay, ACERTIXO, I have watched you spread foolishness, lies and disinformation for several pages now, so it's my turn to smack you down and consign your arguments to the waste bin.

Argument 1

Mexicans are entitled to break our immigration because they "just want a better life." Really? So does that mean that a guy froma disadvantaged family here may feel free to rob a bank or steal purses at the shopping mall just so that he can pay his rent or buy food for his family? Do you know what that is, fella? That is anarchy. It may be a model for existence in a turd hole like Mexico or El Salvador, but it's not acceptable in a civilized society.

Argument 2

You say that one of our posters "broke the law" by quashing your "free speech." You demonstrate your ignorance of the nature of the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights (did you know that's what you were referencing?), because those ten articles address the relationship between the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and the People, not between the People and the People. I or anyone else may feel free to tell you to shut your yapper any time your commentary becomes bellicose or offensive, and those descriptions could apply to more than half of your posts.

Argument 3

You claim that the "Pilgrims" killed off the natives. First off, the Indian tribes were warring amongst themselves for hundreds of years before a European set foot on this continent. As a matter of fact, the Mexican natives not only killed, but sacrificed and CANNIBALIZED neighboring tribes. When British settlers first came to the Americas, they traded amicably with the tribes they encountered. Eventually they got caught up in the territorial squabbles between the Indians themselves and vice versa. For example, some tribes aligned themselves with the French and some with the English, so that when fight broke out between the British and French, the Indian tribes made enemies of the sides against whom they aligned themselves. It was the extreme misfortune of the Indians that the Europeans were vastly more technologically advanced, meaning that in head to head confrontations, the Indians lost. This is the history of mankind. The pretense that warfare was unique to the Europeans and that your own people (for example) are innocent of the same sort of warfare and conquest is absurd. The proof of the successful conquests by your people over other peoples is that you are here today to spew your nonsense. Well, more specifically, the fact of your current existence is proof of that AND of the mercy shown by the Europeans that conquered the Mesoamericans. And the funny thing is that in that case, the Europeans (Spaniards) conquered over one million natives with an army of less than 1000.

Argument 4

You claim that illegals are paying their share of taxes, which offset the cost of their existence to the American taxpayer. That is a lie which has been well-documented as such. First off, a huge percentage of illegal laborers are paid under the table, meaning that no taxes are withheld. Second, illegals typically hold very low-paying jobs, meaning that even withholding at the maximum rate for their tax bracket results in minimal tax revenues. It has been demonstrated, however, that huge percentages of social services are being rendered to illegal aliens and the anchor babies. In Texas, for example, the state would be tearing down schools rather than struggling to build hundreds of new ones if not for the pressure of educating anchor babies and illegals.

So you can take your little score sheet with you to the toilet and make good use of it, because it has no value or merit as anything else. The only score that matters is:

Manifest Destiny - 1
Mexico's claim to Texas and California - 0

Oh, and the US paid for the lands it took from Mexico, first in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, then in the Gadsden Purchase. If you think you have a claim to lands in the US Southwest, go talk to the President of Mexico. It was the Mexican government who sold it to us.
