what if
what will happen if we have a housing bust? and they couldn't sell homes, will all the Illegals go on to collect unemployment? or will they go to the day labor sites with the 100's of Illegals all ready waiting there for the 4-5 jobs they can get that day.hum then we might have 1000,waiting for 4-5 jobs.
then lets take it up a notch, lets say we get the bird flu here in the states, and that industry takes a dive, another 1million getting unemployment,or will they stand on the streets looking for one of the 4 or 5 day jobs, now we have 2000 looking for day jobs.thats on every street that are looking for day labors.
lets say we have a loss of lots of jobs things slow down, not a lot to spend on fun time vactions, going to casino's ect then they (casino's) start to hurt then there go's the housekeeping jobs,I guess they can get unemployment? or go out and join the rest of the day labors, OR if they are given Amnesty, then I guess they can start looking for work that we will do. then we will be standing on a street looking for a day labor jobs!JUST A THOUGHT!!!

In all honesty, I don't see this as if but rather as when. I don't believe they can collect unemployment but I wouldn't have believed they could get away with a LOT of the things they get away with. I guess when you have a criminal mind, you can achieve great things. It is my fervent hope they would go home.
If they could draw unemployment, they might - but I don't see how they would be eligible for that. I think their employers would fight it tooth and toenail, anyway.
They came here to work, if they can't work, I think they will go home. While they enjoy the 'benefits' that allow them to save their money, I don't think they want to try to live off the freebies.
As for the poultry industry and bird flu. That industry is already jittery because of the threat - that's one of the reasons, I think it we really need to get behind an all out boycott of the industry.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

they
People that work day labor jobs can not draw un-employeement since they are contractors, and contractors pay their own un-employeement benefits. That is how they work under the table and stay out of the "system."

It worries me that if the government doesn't round them up and get them out of here they will turn to enterprises that are only loosely described as "work."
Some of the occupations are: prostitute, car thief, carjacker, midnight requisition auto parts technician, store robber, bank robber--- should I go on?
We need to see that these people are taken AWAY from this country before they compound the problem further.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
