Thread: What messages are kids getting on immigration situation?

What impact do you think stories like the exerpt below have on our kid's attitudes toward current immigration debates?

It's the price illegal aliens and their children will have to pay until they're deported. The sooner we stop this madness and get these people out of here and keep them out, the sooner these types of conversations will end. This little excerpt only discusses the legality of the kids situation. It doesn't even go into the conversations our children will have when they understand the reason their parents are out of work is because of illegal aliens or the reason their parents didn't get a deserved raise or more hours they needed to provide for their families is because of illegal aliens or a family member was killed in a car accident by an illegal alien or the reason they can't afford health insurance because their company doesn't provide it because if American Workers demand it or higher wages so they can buy it themselves, they'll just fire the Americans and hire illegal aliens, or a well-deserved American Student lost a scholarship to college because he/she was tied with an illegal alien for the scholarship and it went to the foreign minority, or another well-deserved American Student didn't get into the college of their choice because an illegal alien got the seat instead, or their parents can't afford to pay for their college because they paid taxes to support illegal aliens in the United States, or when they're teenagers and looking for work to buy a car, pay for some clothes and dates, and save for college, they can't find a job because jobs that used to be filled by teenagers to help them start building their lives for the future are filled by adult illegal aliens, or the reason they wait 3 hours in an emergency room for medical care is because there were 50 illegal aliens in line ahead of them.

These conversations are only beginning and all the proponents of illegal immigration need to understand that the outcome of these conversations only has 1 option, and that's total resentment of illegal aliens and their advocates for generations to come, the same as there would be for anyone who was in our country when they weren't supposed to be sucking up seats, houses, jobs, benefits and services at the expense and devastation of American Citizens.

Anyone who thinks Americans are going to put up with this much longer better purchase some anti-histamines and clear their heads. Americans are NOT going to put up with this travesty any longer. They don't want it, they can't afford it, and they will not tolerate it, nor should they.

The message being conveyed to middle-American children is simple. Some rules don't apply to some people.

The biggest danger that currently exists about not having illegal aliens held responsible, and ultimately deported, is that in 20 years, if nothing has been done, an amnesty is likely to be granted. Why? Because many of the people so passionately fighting against it now will have passed. Who will be the new voters? Lots of kids who are currently being bombarded with politically correct messages about "Came here for a better life" and "No human is illegal." The children nowadays will not remember the failed 1986 Amnesty and will reflect upon memories of illegal alien kids with whom they went to school who "seemed pretty nice."

Much like Gay Marriage, the potential for success lies in the future. The most passionate people who oppose illegal immigration are over 40. Why? We can remember when "illegal" actually had a negative connotation to it and when people were held to standards rather than waiting around afraid of being accused of "racism."

The message our children are getting is this:

CRIME PAYS.
