Thread: WE THE PEOPLE ? or we the puppets ?

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.


I often wonder who they meant by "WE THE PEOPLE"



That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence indeed, will dictate, that Governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.


By the Example given buy our forefathers above. it took Guts , Courage. Fortitude to stand up to the oppressive government.
And declare that we just were not going to take it any more. \


We the people wasn't refferring to those who would govern the United states, nor the neighboring countries, nor the world at large. It meant the
occupants of the land the document represented !!!!
Such powerful words that gave and still gives the American citizen more than a parcel of land to plow and take care of for King Georges benefit. It gave us the resposibility to be united, maintain tranquility, prosperity, defend each other, and to secure the blessings of posterity, and liberty.

All of these things we are resposible for. I know we know this !!! but if you ask the majority of children to quote the pledge , or sing our National Amthem .... how many could. If they cant then we have failed as citizens and parents. Because our children have been set up to Fall for anything thats put before them.
How many Americans Don't Get involved when they see a crime happening to another citizen ???? How many times have we watched as other countries Burned our flags and just added that up to another day instead of being appauled at such disrespect towards our countrys banner.
How many have watched an illegal alien cross the border and didnt do a thing ...... I am guilty definately of that one. How many of us are ready to redeem our country to the soveriengty that it is .
The world looks at us like we are unable or unwilling to do anything to defend this great nation.
So they feel they can do what ever they want to us and we will lie down and take it.
Certain presidents don't care about you and I or they would get to doing the business of defending this great country, its borders, its citizens irregardless of what other nationals might think. After all he is our president , elected by our fellow citizens. That fact he cannot thwart.
So "We The People" need to act. I know we can and i know we will make a difference. We have the strength , determination, and i would hope the motivation to make changes happen. like
securing our soveriegn borders.
Telling Mexico to tend to its citizens needs and stop incouraging thier exploitation and exodus.
Making our fellow Americans Aware of the injustices being perpertrated on them by the people they voted into office.
Also demanding that the illegal invasion cease. And that compensation for our nations monetary losses be recouped from the mexican government .
Demand that any Employer in the USA that hires Illegal immigrants be banned from doing, procuring, business In the United States.
The immediate dismissal of any public official who refuses to listen to the
countrylaws, state laws, and Citizens it represents.
after all we are a country governed by laws
Any citizen, clergy, company,and or executives, who hire Illegal immigrants need to be aressted and thrown in Jail.
they are not above the average law abiding citizen.
we need to demands as legal citizens the immediate and indiscriminate deportation of all illegal aliens. Thier children may come back with them after they go about naturalization like any other foriegn national has to.
Those are my ideas and i know they are not new but . After all i am a legal United States citizen and i have the power just like you to effect what happens in our soveriegn country !!!

I agree with you, this goes much deeper than a simple immigration issue. Our constitutional rights as well as our nations security and our lives are being put in jeopardy for unknown reasons that are beyond our control.

The important thing to remember is it is in our control. We are the law makers bread and butter. We have the ability to make changes. Don't be taken in by people who think that there is nothing we can do. Even as far as expelling the criminal illegal immigrant .
Where theres a will there's a way !!!
And as long as we stay within the law and the rights of our citizenry we can accomplish what we need to do !!
Like the castle of Grey Skull WE, you, and I have the power .
All we have to do is use it !!!

stevend1961, you are right. We the people can fight this with the Constitution, that's why our founding fathers drafted it like they did -- treason and impeachment were both provided for

Our constitution is being torn to shreds as we sit here, when our own president refers to the constitution as: " just a piece of paper" his intentions should be very clear to even a child.

I agree, but to the world we have a Constitution and our leaders want to demonstrate to the world democracy in action -- if they want to see freedom in action, watch the American people not the leaders.

The American people serve their country from their heart, they're not in it for the money. I don't think too many in the three branches can say that
