    When Cultures Clash?

Once again I was reading an article whereby the writer was babbling on about multiculturalism and how ideal it is...blah blah blah.

And I couldn't help but wonder....but what happens when cultures clash?

I mean, we're told that multiculturalism is this utopic ideal that the U.S. is supposed to reach...to prove how morally and politically superior we are to all other countries; yet, what do we do when these different cultures clash?

What happens when you have one culture whereby it's considered okay to beat your wife, but another whereby it's considered a felony?

What happens when you have one culture whereby it's perfectly acceptable for a 30-year-old man to have sex with a 12-year-old girl, but in another it's considered a psychological disorder (not to mention rape)?

What happens when you have one culture whereby a woman is punished (usually stoned to death in the streets) for being raped, whereas in another culture her identity is protected and her rapist is punished?

What happens when you have one culture whereby it's considered the greatest martyrdom to kill and then commit suicide in the name of your religion, but another culture whereby it's considered wrong and illegal to kill in the name of your religion?

What happens when you have one culture that speaks one language, and another that speaks a different language?

What happens when you have one culture that limits childbirth to that where they are just replacing themselves, and another culture that encourages mass breeding?

I could go on and on and on, but I just have one question? What happens when cultures CLASH?
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

That is why multi-culturism is an experiment that has gone array in this country. Those who claim to be diversity lovers are the very ones trying to change the main culture of this country to their own. They don't really want diversity. What they really want is to change the face of this country to resemble that of their native or ancestor's homelands.

When a country has a common language and culture it makes for a cohesive society, not a bunch of cultures clashing with one another.

    Violence happens when cultures clash.

I don't think anyone ever took multiculturalism - both its supporters and its detractors - very seriously as a movement. This talk of multiculturalism and diversity is about control and nothing else. It is a smokescreen with the purpose to remake the culture and beliefs of this country.

THERE ARE ALOT OF BAD "ISMS" OUT THERE, AND MULTICULTURALISM IS THE WORST.
Anyone who wants it, only wants more of themself around them.

All you have to do is take a good look at what is happening around the world in the name of multiculturalism. It does not seem to be working in one country that I can name!

I think language is the biggest barrior and causes the most problems, but certainly the difference in cultural ideas between a 3rd world countries and a Nation built on law and order that is not accustomed to chaos and anarchy is just as big a problem.

We have gotten along just fine for 300 years with hundreds of religions, we all basically live and let live. Now the religions coming here are demanding peoples crosses be take down, the 10 commandment be removed from anywhere and everywhere , in God we trust rmoved from everything including our money, they don't like Xmas, thanksgiving, Easter, there is no respect for other peoples beliefs, if certain people don't like it they want it stopped or done away with.

These are the things driving Americans over the edge, alot of things adding up to WE ARE MAD AS HELL AND DAMN TIRED OF IT!! and if you don't like America the way it is GET OUT!!

Why is it they want to live in this great Nation and yet they can not wait to try and change it!!

Look at the colleges, the Hispanic kids just can not grasp the concept of freedom of speech, and they supposedly grew up here!

I don't know it is all very pathetic that so many people would want to destroy this great Nation!

That's what progressism consists of......the idea that the country is flawed and needs to be deeply changed. That's what Hillary called herself, a progressive. Conservatives believe the country is basically sound and we shoud continue on the course started by the Founding Fathers. We are in the middle of a culture war, a war where one side believes in relativism that there is no real rights or wrongs but it's determined by the individual. Truths are not absolute, but relative to circumstances. We witness this in the liberal courts all the time.

No country can stand without absolute principles and absolute truth.
