    Beat them to the punch

Why don't some of our senators get together and introduce a bill of their own. Somethiinglike the American Legion plan or the border patrol plan. Kennedy and friends may be so busy fighting it they won't have time to dream up another.
Government is not reason;it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master! George Washington

The American Legion definitely want Enforcement.
    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

I've often wondered about this too. Why not have a simple bill that funds what we need and punishes those who don't follow the law so that we get attrition through enforcement:

    (1) secure the border with the wall and more patrols (already law)
    (2) fine employers who hire illegals (already law)
    (3) enforce the other existing immigration laws (already law)
    (4) provide job programs for Americans
    (5) only use guestworkers as a last resort and only if there is a true labor shortage (must first offer jobs to Americans).
    (6) stop all welfare for illegals and force employers to provide full medical coverage for documented guestworkers
    (7) stop citizenship for anchor babies

Good point. It's so obvious that I forgot to include it.

    Enforce the labor laws.

    Just enforce the laws evenly.
Maybe we Americans should file a racial profiiling or discrimination lawsuit against the federal government, against the cities, states and counties.

I'll bet if these counties not enforcing the laws evenly, were to get hit with a few dozen, hundred lawsuits for discrimination or racial profiling, they would do something. They can't afford to fight that kind of thing.

Oh, I wish some retired lawyers would decide to form something like the border watchers and file those lawsuits. I'll bet enough of us would do their paperwork, legwork, etc.

Wouldn't that be a hoot - if next week every county, city and state in this country would be hit with lawsuits????

We could file suits against the federal government - but that might be a little tougher

If we hit the local governments, the next day, the representatives in WAshington would be getting an earful from their politicians back home -

    Oh, I wish -------------
