This is a little old, however, it does give folks a sense of Duncan Hunter's concern for America. IMO, it would be difficult to find a more dedicated American patriot!

[quote]Leadership knows Rep. Duncan Hunter's arm doesn't twist
    By Roxana Tiron
    April 05, 2006

It is difficult to change Rep. Duncan Hunter’s mind. House leadership officials and the White House have found that out the hard way.

When they wanted him to vote for a pending trade bill last year, Hunter (R-Calif.) refused — again and again. And when the Bush administration tried to convince the powerful Armed Services Committee on its controversial port security plan, Hunter refused to budge.

Twisting Hunter’s arm is impossible, his close friends say.

“The politics of the process does not really concern him,â€

    This says it all:

"Duncan Hunter: And we've got to build this fence. The Democrats have now shown indications that they don't want to build it, but there are two (reasons for) the fence besides enforcement that I think are compelling reasons to build that fence on schedule.

No I'm not a VIP. Let me check that room for you.

OK I checked ya, it says for "posters" something arather. I don't get it.

I met Rep. Duncan Hunter on Sept. 1, 2007, in Ft. Worth, TX. He turned out to be a REAL man, a GOOD Christian, and a GREAT American!

I'm always impressed with him when I hear him. He's straight forward, gives his reasons, and why and why not I like him a lot. I'm torn between voting for Tancredo because he has been at the forefront against illegal immigration for nine years. Yet, I like Duncan.

I could vote for Hunter - he's not my first choice.

If my vote would make one President - it would be Paul - but I can vote for either of the three.

I don't like Hunter's views on the war - school vouchers - fair tax - but if we don't get a handle on illegal immigration and begin to reverse the flood - it won't matter what we do in Iraq - schools, or whatever.

Duncan Hunter would make a great president. He understand the meaning of FENCE, which is a structure to KEEP ILLEGAL ALIENS OUT. I also like his standings on trade, security, and abortion.

It's too bad the MSM keeps ignoring him while they push Guilani down out throats.

He seems to have a lot of integrity and I love the way he voted on most of those items. I would be thrilled with either him or Tancredo.
