Who'll do what's right?
Who'll do what's right?

Uncle Sam has turned into Aunt Sarah, toothless and jelly-kneed. We scare nobody and true allies we can count on the fingers of one hand, maybe. That's the sad state of our psyche as we approach the anniversary of the aerial raid on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941, by the Japanese Empire.
That surprise assault hastened our entry into World War II and our country was unprepared and undermanned, a fourth rate military power, but immediately, millions of men and women swelled the ranks of every branch of service, factories converted to wartime production and planes, ships and tanks flew from assembly lines into battle and the United States emerged from its finest hour, victorious and standing alone and intact among the warring nations., respected if not loved by the world.
That was then and now is now. Following the attack on Sept. 11, President Bush ordered troops to Afghanistan, which made sense because that's where Osama bin Laden and his bloodthirsty cohorts planned the destruction of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.. And then, inexplicably, he made possibly the worst foreign policy decision ever: the invasion of Iraq. That ill-advised adventure was orchestrated by Vice President Cheney, who generated enough deferments to paper your living room wall when it came his turn for military service, but now, old and bald, he's mustered the courage to send young men and women into the desert to die and have their limbs blown from their body.
A cowardly Bush administration grovels at the feet of China, our main provider of consumer goods, much of which is subject to recall because of shoddy workmanship and dangerous levels of lead. China conducts a repressive society laced with human abuse. Our trade deficit with them is absolutely staggering. And what do we do about it? Invite their leaders to a state dinner and drink a toast to our future partnership.
Another draft dodger, Bill Clinton, accelerated the courting of China by selling sophisticated technology to them. Sell precious American intelligence to a brutal communist regime. What a brilliant idea for our safety and security.
Hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs have been lost to outsourcing, which is a fancy word for paying workers in Mexico, India and the Philippines (among others) a fraction of what Americans earn. Zero is being done to stop the bleeding of the shrinking middle class.
Meantime, our southern border has been invaded by millions of illegal aliens who bring to the land of the free and the home of the brave cheap labor and violence, inflating prison populations with murderers, rapists and drug dealers. Republican lawmakers do nothing because their constituency needs employees willing to work for wages below the minimum. Democrats are terrified to lose the Latino vote so they favor open borders and amnesty for law-breakers.
When Harry S. Truman was president, he said every special interest group had a lobbyist in Washington, D.C., except for the American people. He figured that was his job. As you survey the dozen plus presidential wannabees, can you honestly say there's even one who has the guts to do what's right for the American people?
Is there just one who'll spit in the eye of a special interest group, knowing it'll cost votes, and say, "What you stand for is not good for America."
Is anybody listening?

I Say Ron Paul can do it!
Good post!
Unless we get those criminals & make them pay for what they have done to our country and the lawlessness they have sponsored, we are just another Mexico ourselves!

Duncan Hunter's the man!!
He will create fair trade from free trade and approach China with a far different attitude than the ones before him. He will build the fence that is needed to keep out illegals and terorrists. He will end the war in Iraq within his first two years in office (he outlined a 3-point plan at the GOP debates to get us out and would immediately start that when he is inaugurated), not overnight like some left-wing fanatics. He walks and talks like a United States President and I consider him of US Presidency caliber, unlike the rest of them. I hope he chooses Jeff Sessions or Tom Tancredo for VP.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
