Thread: Why should the resident alien inherit land with the sons of the country?

Looking for a guiding principle here... (I make the assumption that the principle which governs both permanent slaves and servants who can be redeemed or who will be released in the Year of Jubilee, applies similarly to inherited land.)

‘Now if a sojourner or stranger [resident alien] close to you becomes rich, and one of your brethren who dwells by him becomes poor, and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner [resident alien] close to you, or to a member of the stranger’s family, after he is sold he may be redeemed again. One of his brothers may redeem him; or his uncle or his uncle’s son may redeem him; or anyone who is near of kin to him in his family may redeem him; or if he is able he may redeem himself. Thus he shall reckon with him who bought him: The price of his release shall be according to the number of years, from the year that he was sold to him until the Year of Jubilee; it shall be according to the time of a hired servant for him. If there are still many years remaining, according to them he shall repay the price of his redemption from the money with which he was bought. And if there remain but a few years until the Year of Jubilee, then he shall reckon with him, and according to his years he shall repay him the price of his redemption. He shall be with him as a yearly hired servant, and he shall not rule with rigor over him in your sight. And if he is not redeemed in these years, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee—he and his children with him. For the children of Israel are servants to Me; they are My servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

By extension in principle, but not spelled out as a law in the letter of the Mosaic Law, the law of the permanent slave and the hired servant should apply similarly to land, either purchased permanently or leased until the next Year of Jubilee, a lease which could extend for as many as 49 years.

However, this principle applies to the Jews under the Mosaic covenant, not to Christians under the New Covenant, the blood of the crucified Lamb of God. Neither does it apply to the eternal state (depicted as a type in Ezekiel 40 - 48 ), which is after both the Millennium (a time of blessing depicted as a type in Ezekiel 36 - 37 and in Revelation 20:1-6) and the final Battle of Armageddon after the Millennium (a battle fought in a valley in Israel, depicted as a type in Ezekiel 38 - 39 and in Revelation 20:7-10), when Satan and his angels are cast into the lake of fire. But when time is no more, the rules are different, specifically for the alien.

It shall be that you will divide it by lot as an inheritance for yourselves, and for the strangers [aliens] who dwell among you and who bear children among you. They shall be to you as native-born among the children of Israel; they shall have an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. And it shall be that in whatever tribe the stranger dwells, there you shall give him his inheritance,” says the Lord God.

I would like to understand how, in eternity beyond time, the stranger or alien will inherit land in Israel that was not in his family and did not belong to his ancestors, land which belonged rather to the children of Israel. I also want to understand how this progression applies to our position in time between Moses and eternity, that one may neither cling to the way things used to be, nor fight against the inevitable changes leading up to the foreordained destiny which the Lord prophesied through His servant Ezekiel.
